Right now we are in Montreal airport on our way to Quebec City, Canada.

Quebec City is one of the favorite places that we've been.

We were here a year ago during the winter and, and

this year Quebec City tourism has invited us back to experience the best of the city in the summer.

We're going to be shooting a four part video series over the next week where we talk about history, culture, food, nightlife, nature.

But today, in this episode, we will be experiencing the biggest music festival of the summer.

Some of our favorite bands are playing tonight.

But first things first, we got a plane to catch.

All right, ladies and gentlemen, we have arrived into Quebec City.

You can already kind of feel like the francophone vibe.

Everybody's just sitting outside in terraces eating dinner and we're gonn grab a bite.

So last time we were here was in the winter.

Now it's summertime and everything is beautiful.

It's a totally different vibe than in the winter.

Right now we're at this place called Latillier.

It does tartars, as in like raw meat on croutons, but

there's a bunch of different food and they also have really good cocktails.

So we're getting cocktails, some tapas, some tartars, and then we're going to the concert.

Well, we just finished a lovely little dinner and now we are heading down to the actual festival.

The cool thing about this festival is that all the venues are scattered throughout the old town, so they're all really historic spots.

Metallica is playing in the plains of Abraham, but we're gonna go see Amadou and Miriam.

They're some of the best musicians from West Africa.

It's the home of the blues and their concerts are starting right now.

Well, our first night here in Quebec City is completed.

Anyways, tomorrow is another day, so we're tired from the plane ride.

We're gonna go home, get some rest at the hotel and then tomorrow we come back for round two with some other awesome bands.

Well, it's a beautiful day here in Quebec City.

It's our first full day, so we've had some brunch.

Now we're gonna go hit the St. Lawrence river, go cruising on a sailboat.

We're currently in the old port, and the whole city really was built up around the St.

This was like the highway back in the 1600s, 1700s.

So we're gonna go see the city from the water, which means let's go in French.

Yeah, we came invited you gon come with me?

Don't be getting too excited you gonna come with ease when it's you and me and mine tell me to touch the sky my way my way I'm up and high seeing things from seeing views she catching feeling she feeling loose.

It's just so crazy how different it is coming back here in the summer.

It really is two very different cities in the winter and the summer.

But, yeah, I'm excited because last time we were here, this river was totally covered from shore to shore in ice, and

these crazy, adventurous Quebecers were racing across the river in canoes.

They basically have this thing called the ice canoe race every winter.

Later tonight, we got more of the music festival.

So I think our goal for today is quite modest.

Let's just float around, have a good little time, and

then get back in the music and events later today.

Okay, so from the prow of the ship, we can see the whole city of Quebec.

On the hill, we have the Chateau Frontenac.

This is said to be the most photographed building in the world, and that's for good reason.

It was built in 1608, so that's the same time the Spanish were building Santa Fe, New Mexico, and

the English were building Jamestown, Virginia, same age.

Get the old town down below by the port, and then the upper area right there.

And there is a funicular connecting the tomb.

That was my half attempt at trying to pop a bottle without polluting.

The evening, and everybody's starting to line up for the concerts.

It's a beautiful afternoon here in Quebec City.

Everybody's super happy and just enjoying some.

I think it's time we head over to grab some food.

Well, first neighborhood, we are in San Hok.

You walk down staircases, and it's this beautiful residential neighborhood with a lot of great restaurants.

So the chef here is known because he won a cooking competition on Quebec tv.
