When you say it like that, it sounds really bad, Mom.

You've also been asking for money more often.

And last week you mentioned borrowing from your cousin.

Honey, borrowing money just so you can shop, that's when it becomes dangerous.

I've even joked about being a shopaholic.

Sometimes we laugh things off before we're ready to face them.

I'd see a sale online and tell myself, it's fine, I'm saving money.

Yeah, Clicking buy now felt good for a second.

Then the guilt hits and I want to shop again to forget it.

That cycle can trap people before they even realize what's happening.

You don't need hundreds and hundreds of bags.

None of those things will fix what you're feeling inside.

And that's why we're talking about it right now.

It will drain your money, strain relationships and hurt your peace.

I've already borrowed money from friends, and I feel awful about it.
