I think this is like the first collaboration video we've made in like a year.

We talk all the time but we never make videos.

Today we are in Azabu Jiyuban here in Tokyo and we are about to take a cooking class right in this building here.

Charlotte, do you do a lot of Japanese cooking?

Like the basic stuff, like curry or like oyakodon, the really simple things.

I don't really make Japanese food either.

I'm like really nervous because it's not food that I've been raised with my whole life.

Like I'm more confident making stuff that like I ate growing up.

You've watched like your parents make it.

Yeah, so today we're gonna learn how to make some sushi.

We can't do sushi though, not like regular sushi.

We're gonna make like the most beautiful, sorry, we're gonna make the most beautiful sushi you've ever seen.

Today, Charlotte and I are participating in Arigato Japan's cooking class in Tokyo to learn how to make some really visually pleasing and fun decoration sushi.

The most important part of making sushi is learning how to properly make the sushi rice, which is something we learned right away.

And this is what's gonna turn the sushi rice into pink sushi rice.

I guess that's what they sell it for, right?

With our pink rice ready, it's time to make the sakura leaves for our sushi.

This is a great way to practice placing the sushi rice on the seaweed and using the bamboo roller, as you need to prepare about five pink rolls for the flower petals.

I think this is to cover everything except for three centimeters.

So maybe leave like a three centimeter gap at the top.

I'm beginning to understand how this will come together.

With the remaining sushi rice, we decided to get creative and create our own temari sushi.
