Hey guys, how's it going? It's Mikayla and today I'm in Shinjuku in Tokyo.

There are so many people here, I'm really not used to all of the crowds.

Today I've been invited by Magical Trip to experience one of their foodie tours here in Tokyo, guided by a local.

I actually was not born in Tokyo, but I live here right now.

My favorite part of Tokyo is that there are huge cities everywhere in Tokyo where you can enjoy until morning.

So what can we look forward to today? What kind of trip are we doing today?

First we're going to go to a sushi restaurant.

Then we're going to go to Yakiniku, which is Japanese barbecue.

And then we're going to stop by three foreign restaurants.

Wow, so it's going to be quite a busy night!

Alright, great, well let's get started! I can't wait!

So, we've just arrived at the first sushi restaurant.

Conveyor belt sushi, and also the chef made sushi.

Wow, so they have their own custom menu here.

You can choose based on your dietary preferences.

And then they've got an omakase, which is the chef's special.

Okay, so that's why you have this one first, this one during your meal, and then this one at the end, right?

I got the omakase because I want to see what they do with the most fresh seasonal ingredients.

For the chef, for the farmers, for everyone, like everyone into this food.

What kind of people are normally taking these kinds of trips?

So I met my guests on a family trip, like a friend's trip.

Not a lot of people speak English, and also not all the restaurants have English menus, so it's really hard to order what they recommend or what's the seasonal menu.

So you're kind of like their key to open the door to new experiences.

Not every restaurant has an English menu, but they have a standard English menu.

Not for seasonal, but for the specialties or the recommendations.

There's so many different types and different cuts of meat here, different types of wagyu.

So we're at our second location, a yakiniku restaurant, and we have a special food tour menu here as well.

So wagyu Japanese beef set, which comes with wagyu beef sausage, chicken and rice, a salad bar, and then you can also try luxury wagyu.

Oh, so you can choose from the pork and chicken set.

That's actually pretty cool, because I guess a lot of visitors to Japan would feel left out if they were vegetarians, that they wouldn't be able to experience the yakiniku.

Yeah, there are quite a few vegetarians, and if they had vegetarian sushi, they're probably not going to want yakiniku.

The great part about cooking yakiniku is that you get to cook your meat to your desired level of doneness.

If you like medium-rare, you can cook it medium-rare, while the person next to you cooks theirs to well-done, everybody gets a piece that makes them happy.

It has lots of flavor, and it really melts when you chew it.

Okay, which one is a bad manner in sushi restaurant?

So we've had our omakase sushi course, we've had our wagyu yakiniku course.

Feeling pretty full, but there's still one more place to visit.

We're going to a bar and we're going to get dessert!
