So the interesting thing about Zauberwald is in fact the old and the new.

So Zauberwald is a place that's full of very strange looking...

Because there's something about Marsha that's extremely touching and moving to my character.

This room for example for Martin is a place of distrust.

Even though it means home and it means family.

And it means trying to figure out what your place is in that family.

You'll notice that in almost every room in Zauberwald there are many mirrors.

So if you catch yourself everything just keeps going.

One of the interesting things about having mirrors everywhere is that the camera can use the mirror and see a scene reflected.

The idea is people are self-reflecting and bumping into themselves.

This is one of my favorite pieces of the set.

Now each one of these frozen teardrops was personally hung and it's custom made just for us.

All the furniture is custom made as well.

So now we're going to take you to kind of like the main hang spot for all of the strangers.

This is where we all sort of congregate for a lot of the sessions and the pieces.

So it feels like I've been in this room many times.

It's always fun when we're all in here because it honestly is really cozy.

So it's really cool to see all the different dynamics between all the different kind of characters when we all come together.

It's most set stone of ceilings but this has a ceiling and it's nine tons.

And this middle section comes down when we're doing the scenes as a whole lighting thing.

Do you remember when we had our first scene?

And it was like the welcome scene, the arrival scene and our first big argument.

And we were shooting it for like a day or two.

It's vintage though. I think it's like an antique piece.

It's like the whole space is very much a mixture between antique and modern.

This is the labyrinth of hallways that we shoot the show in.

Yeah, and it's blue so that when people watch it they know that it's where we live or where our characters stay.

Udo, our amazing set designer, specifically chose the blue so you know where you are and you know that you're safe.

This is a beautiful set meant to look like a hotel room in Sauberfeld.

The hotel is like a character and then this magnificent landscape.

That's a scrim with just painted trees and all.

I have happy memories of doing incredible scenes here.

One of which was a scene dancing alone with just me and my bottle of champagne.

This is where I share a room with my daughter and my boyfriend.

Here, the sunken area involving the mushroom tea, which I would only advise anybody ever uses in a controlled environment.

This is the indoor-outdoor area. Beautiful snow falls here.

Obviously out here we would normally have a beautiful view of the mountains.

But at the moment it's all in a sort of state of undress.

Which brings us to Masha's surveillance area in her bedroom where she's able to see everything that's going on.

And a lot of us get caught out on these cameras doing things that we probably shouldn't be doing.

All of the wallpaper is actually hand-painted, which is pretty incredible.

The first time I walked into my office, I was struck by these hand-painted alpine paint.

They've made this specifically for our show.

It's gorgeous. I couldn't stop looking at it.

I had a tough time looking at my fellow actors because the walls are so gorgeous.

My character Peter decides, whilst he's sort of on one of the therapeutic trips, he has to find his father somehow.

And they tell him it's on the other side of the park.

The only way that I know where that is, is by taking this and carrying it for almost half an episode.

Yeah! I'm gonna go save my dad! He's on the other side!
