Today we came to Kanda Myojin, Kanda Shrine.

Kanda Myojin is officially known as Kanda Shrine.

It is the deity of Kanda, Nihonbashi, Akihabara, Otemara no Uchi, the former Kanda Market, the Yosu Fish Market, and 108 town councils in the center of Tokyo.

According to the shrine legend, the shrine was originally founded in 730 year in the area of Otemachi, Chiyodaku, Tokyo.

Later, when the Edo Shogunate was established by Tokugawa Ieyasu, the shrine was relocated to its current location.

The shrine has a very long history, and it is revered by many people as the guardian of Edo.

You can feel the history coming from every part of the grounds.

The reason, purpose or motive for visiting a shrine is usually to obtain blessings for one's wishes.

But here at Kanda Myojin, it is believed that one can obtain various kinds of blessings, such as marriage, prosperous business and protection from disaster.
