Have you been feeling differently lately in the way that you go to work and how you feel about your work, how you feel about your career, your identity as well?

Have those things started to shift for you?

Because apparently you're not the only one, and I'm not the only one that's also been experiencing this.

This is something that has been going on for the last little while now. 2024 has been a major year of internal energetic shifts for many of us who are sensitive.

We're part of that first wave of individuals who are feeling this way, and what's going to happen is the rest of the world is going to catch up as we head into 2025, and that's what I want to talk about today in this video.

I'm a purpose coach, and today I want to talk about what you can expect to see in how the world of work is changing, how you are relating to your work differently from that perspective, how AI is playing a role in careers, and I want you to understand this because I do believe that it's going to help you to navigate 2025 differently and navigating your career differently.

It's really important that as we all go through this energetic shift that we are able to work with the energy rather than resist it, because as you move forward, you are going to find that you are changing.

You are blossoming into who you truly are on a more deeper level, but there will be inner turmoil that occurs, and if we don't understand what's happening, if we don't have context around what's happening, it's hard to work through it.

So hopefully this video will help you with that.

So the first thing I want to acknowledge is that we are going through an energetic shift, and I believe, my own personal opinion, is that this shift started happening after COVID or during COVID.

COVID was that event that really shook us up.

It really took us out of the rat race of just working hard, trying to make money, trying to survive.

We were on this hamster wheel of just going, going, going, going, and for many people, being forced to stay at home, locked down in the midst of a worldwide pandemic opened our eyes and ears and hearts to realizing that there's more to life, that maybe perhaps we weren't as happy as we thought we were, and now that we're in 2024 heading into 2025, that feeling for many of us has only gotten stronger.

You're now in a place where you're starting to disidentify with your previous former self, that former self that heavily leaned into achievements, external validation, money, job titles, things that you own.

You were identifying with the external world, and you're starting to find that all of that doesn't matter to you as much anymore.

Instead, you're wanting to move into a life and career where you feel more fulfilled, where you feel more at ease, where you feel more secure and confident within yourself, and where you know who you are.

And that is the shift that I'm talking about, is that we're starting, many of us, to understand who we are at a deeper level.

But the thing with that, that comes with that is that, like I said, there's inner turmoil that tends to stir up, because part of who we were and who we are becoming, there's going to be inconsistencies.

It's not necessarily a smooth transition.

The things that you once believed about yourself and about how things should be, about what success is, those things are starting to crumble.

And so if you are at a place right now where you're feeling stuck, you're feeling stagnant in your career, you're feeling lost, you're feeling unsure of yourself, you no longer want to follow that traditional idea of success, that rat race.

You don't necessarily want to follow that path because your heart is not leading you in that direction, then that's great.

And you're hearing this from me, someone who has helped thousands of people all over the world to get jobs.

I'm telling you, or I'm guiding you, to explore that further.

If you're feeling stuck and stagnant, this is a great place to be, because it means that you're being guided.

Life is telling you to look deeper within yourself.

What do I believe to be true about myself that is actually not true?

Perhaps you're holding onto fear-based beliefs, things like, I'm only worthy if I get a certain title, or I'm only worthy if I'm able to have these types of achievements, or I am valuable only if I'm able to make a certain amount of money.

I mean, there's beliefs that we're all holding onto.

And this is the time for that, because what's going to happen is, as we move into 2025, there's going to be certain things you're going to notice between the people who are thriving in their careers and in their lives versus those who are still feeling really stuck and finding it really difficult to move forward.

One of the things is that the world of work is changing, and I would say that AI is going to have a big role in this.

AI is going to impact how careers even operate.

So for example, one of the things I found was online, there is an article that was written by McKinsey, the consulting firm, and they did a whole study and report on how AI is going to shift the world of work.

And what they noticed was, or what they're seeing, the trends, is that basic cognitive skills are going to be on the decline.

So jobs where it's more like office support or customer service, things that AI can do, those jobs are going to be eliminated, as we can expect.

And instead, there are going to be other types of skills that are going to be on the rise, that are going to be in demand.

And these are the types of skills that we didn't necessarily learn about in school or learn to hone in school.

And so the article talks about demand for social and emotional skills could rise by 11% in Europe and by 14% in the United States.

Underlying this increase is higher demand for roles requiring interpersonal empathy and leadership skills.

Who you are, how you are able to connect and work with others is going to be extremely vital in this new world of work, because AI can do the technical things, and AI will be able to do even more advanced things than we could possibly even think of now.

And so if that's the case, what does that leave us?

Where does that leave us as human beings?

It means that we need to become and step into more of our humanness.

We need to bring forth that emotional, empathetic side to ourselves to be able to work with others, because that's what's going to be highly valued and desired.

In order to get the technical stuff done, we still need people to help operate and guide that technology.

But it's those who are able to work with the people that are doing that work, be able to convince and persuade and lead and guide and coach and train.

Those are the skills that I feel are going to be vital.

And so if you don't have those skills already, think about potentially upgrading them.

But you always want to lean into asking yourself, and this is where meditation comes in, is you want to ask yourself, well, what is it that I could thrive in?

What does my heart tell me when I speak to my heart?

These are important questions to continuously move into asking yourself and to find the answers for.

In the past, up until COVID, we were able to hide behind our work, our job titles, the money that we made.

We're able to hide behind those and not really have to step into who we are in order to thrive and succeed.

Whereas now, heading into 2025 and beyond, with AI being able to take over and do a lot of the technical things, we're going to see an increase in demand, in creativity, in critical thinking, in teaching, training, being able to connect with others from a more authentic place.

And so that leads me into my next point for what I'm seeing for 2025 and beyond is that the idea of doing a nine to five, a very specific set of responsibilities, and doing that on repeat just due to the fact that technology is changing, AI is changing, the world of work is changing, that's not going to be as efficient as it has been in the past.

Instead, what's going to be more efficient is that we can hire someone who has a very specific skill set, they know what they're doing, they can do it for us.

It's on an assignment basis or a contract basis, and then they move on to do other projects and assignments.

But the benefit to that, I know that might sound scary because in your mind, you're thinking, how is that going to be stable?

Well, ultimately, if you have a clear, defined, unique skill set and set of talents that are valuable for someone or organization or an organization, that's going to be useful, and you're going to be able to multiply that out and extrapolate that out to multiple organizations and multiple individuals.

That means that there's really no competition between you and someone else because what you bring to the table is so unique and so aligned with you that if that's what they need and want, then you're going to be the only choice for them.

Whereas right now in the world of work, when you're applying for jobs, you're basically a number compared to everybody else, and it really comes down to your personality.

It comes down to the way you communicate and how you sell yourself, which is all the things that I've taught over the years because that's the only way to really stand apart.

But as we move forward in terms of how the world is changing, it's not going to be about competing against somebody else for a position.

It's going to be about what you bring to the table and that you have what they need, and you're naturally able to showcase that because of the experience and the skills that you have.

I know this sounds idealistic, and for some of you, you might be thinking, I still don't see how it plays out and how it works.

Ultimately, you don't have to worry about that.

What you have to worry about is asking yourself, well, if the world of work was to change, what do I need to do differently?

How am I going to thrive, survive but thrive in this new type of environment?

What are the unique skills and talents that you have that you can bring forth that will then create your career?

Our careers are not going to be dictated to us as they once were.

I'm a CPA by training, and it was a very clear laid out path for me.

What I'm seeing is that that path is not going to be so clear anymore for many of us.

The university degrees that many of us are getting oftentimes don't even come into play when we eventually get into the real careers that we end up pursuing, the work that we're passionate about.

If you're not feeling passionate, if you're not feeling fulfilled by your current work, it is time to look into what is it that you would like to bring forth from within you.

What are your natural skills and talents that are currently not being used?

As I talk about all of this, you might be feeling a little overwhelmed because I understand that you might be feeling lost and uncertain and stuck in your current career.

You still probably have a lot of responsibilities that are on your plate.

It is overwhelming for me to come in and say, okay, now you also have to figure out what it is that you truly want to do.

You have to also figure out your gifts and talents and what you're here to do and your purpose and mission in the world.
