  • The Wizard of Oz

  • Far away in a little town in Kansas. A girl named Dorothy lived with her uncle, aunt and little dog, Toto.

  • One day a horrible twister came to the town. -Uncle.

  • It was very strong and could rip out trees and blow houses away.

  • Uncle! Hurry! Come down here!!

  • Dorothy and her family hid down in the basement to stay safe.

  • Oh no, Toto! Where is he!?

  • Dorothy's dog Toto didn't get away in time and was trapped in the house.

  • Toto!!! Come here!

  • Dorothy ran back to the house to save Toto.

  • At that moment, the tornado reached the house and blew it away, together with Dorothy and Toto.

  • Ahhh! Auntie Em! Uncle Henry!!! Ahhh!

  • Dorothy's house landed in Munchkinland.

  • As it fell, it crushed a wiched withch that had been making the Munchkins very unhappy.

  • Thank you for saving us from the evil witch. Thank you.

  • The Munchkins gave Dorothy the witch's ruby slippers to show how grateful they were. -Here.

  • I just want to get home to Kansas and be with my family again!

  • Put on the ruby slippers and go to the Wizard of Oz.

  • He can make any wish come true, and he will help you get home.

  • Just follow the yellow brick road! Good-bye!

  • Dorothy took a basket of bread and put on the ruby slippers.

  • She started off to see the Wizard, hoping he would help her get home.

  • As she walked down the road, she came upon a scarecrow.

  • He was being taunted by the birds, but he ignored them and just stood there.

  • Oh, Mr. Scarecrow, why do you look so unhappy?

  • I am unhappy because my brain is made of straw.

  • If I had a real brain, I could think of a way to get rid of these nasty birds!

  • Why don't you come with me to see the Wizard of Oz? Maybe he can help.

  • Do you really think so? I would be so happy!

  • Dorothy untied the scarecrow from his post in the wheat field and took him with her.

  • Soon Dorothy and the Scarecrow reached a deep, dark forest.

  • Help! Is anyone there? Help!

  • Listen! Oh, I think it's moving closer...

  • At that moment, they saw a man all made of tin brandishing an axe at a tree.

  • Please help me! I got caught in the rain and rusted, and I haven't been able to move for a year since then. Oh my~

  • Dorothy and the Scarecrow applied some grease to the Tinman's joints.

  • That feels so much better. Look, I can move! I can move!

  • The Tinman decided to go with them because he wanted to ask the Wizard for a heart.

  • What do you need a heart for?

  • Yes I was wondering too.

  • I was once in love.

  • Then, the wicked witch turned me into a tinman and I can't feel anything anymore.

  • When I lost my heart, I couldn't feel love, and the tears my beloved shed while waiting for me.

  • Dorothy and her friends continued down the road as they listened to the Tinman's sad story. Suddenly...

  • Ahhh!!! Eeek!

  • I am the king of all the animals...(Sob)

  • What? Lion, why are you crying?

  • Oh, this is so embarrassing.

  • I have been banished from my home for being a coward, and all of my friends laugh at me!

  • If only I was braver...(Sob)

  • Don't cry, come with us to the Wizard!

  • Can I?

  • Of course!

  • So, the lion joined them on their journey.

  • Oh no, how are we going to cross this?

  • No, no! I can't! I'm too scared!

  • Oh! I've got it! Let's make a raft!

  • A raft??

  • I will bring some logs!

  • Together, they constructed a raft and used it to cross the river.

  • After a while they reached the edge of a cliff.

  • This is really scary, but get on my back, everyone!

  • While everyone was worring, the lion said:

  • If you climb on my back, I can jump across. -What?

  • Come on, hurry up!

  • The lion was terrified, but he jumped over the chasm bringing his friends safely to the other side.

  • Well done, Lion!

  • (Yawn)

  • I'm so sleepy...

  • (Yawn) Me too...no, I can't go to sleep...

  • Dorothy and Toto breathed in the flowers' fragrance and fell into a deep sleep.

  • Dorothy! Wake up! This is an enchanted poppy field!

  • If you fall asleep here you will never wake up!!! Hurry, wake up!

  • But Dorothy and Toto had already drifted off. Could they still be saved?

  • Dorothy, please, you have to wake up...(Sob)

  • Wait, I have a plan.

  • Lion, run as fast as you can, we can't carry you out of you fall asleep.

  • Run before the poppies go to your head! All right, I will do that.

  • We will carry Dorothy and get her away from here!

  • Okay.

  • (Yawn) ...was I sleeping?

  • Oh Dorothy! You're alright! (Sob)

  • Toto! I remember now... thanks everyone!

  • After a long and perilous journey,

  • Dorothy and her friends reached the gates of the Emerald City, where the Wizard of Oz lived.

  • Everything around them was green and sparkling.

  • Hurray! We have finally reached the Wizard's palace!

  • What do you want here?

  • We have come to see the Wizard of Oz and ask him to grant our wishes.

  • Not everyone can meet the great Wizard!

  • What? This is outrageous!

  • But I need to get home! I do... please, please...

  • They told the gatekeeper the story of their journey, and he was very impressed.

  • Very well, I shall tell all this to the Wizard.

  • The next morning, Dorothy and her friends were led into a large room, that seemed to be empty. -Tell me your wish.

  • Tell me your wish!

  • But we can't see you... We want to see you.

  • Maybe we should just tell him our wishes.

  • I want to have courage.

  • I want a brain to think with.

  • I want a heart.

  • And I just want to get back home.

  • Bow-wow.

  • Wait Toto, where are you going?

  • Ughh...Go away...leave me alone!

  • Huh?

  • I am...the Wizard of Oz. That's right, I'm just a regular man.

  • I can't make your wishes come true by magic.

  • What?

  • But, you're a fraud!

  • Just settle down, now...

  • But you were my last hope! How will I ever get home? (Sob)

  • Oh...don't cry, you have all granted your own wishes already!

  • You mean I can think with my own brain?

  • Of course. You thought up clever ideas to help your friends when they were in trouble.

  • I've got it! Let's make a raft!

  • What about me? Where's my courage?

  • You found it when you jumped over the chasm for your friends.

  • This is really scary, but get on my back, everyone!

  • Do I have a heart, then?

  • Didn't you shed genuine tears for your friends when they were in danger?

  • Dorothy, please, you must wake up...(Sob)

  • But I'm still not home yet!

  • That's true, but you have a way to get back.

  • Just tap the ground with your ruby slippers three times and say where you want to go.

  • They will take you anywhere.

  • Dorothy was sorry to part with her new friends, but she had to go home to her family.

  • Good-bye, everyone! Take care of yourselves!

  • I want to go home to Kansas!

  • As she tapped her shoes, Dorothy and Toto turned into silver dust and vanished.

  • When Dorothy opened her eyes, she found herself in a large green field.

  • Uncle!!! Aunt!!! I am back! Dorothy is back!

  • Oh! Dorothy!!!

  • Thanks to the ruby slippers, the Wizard of Oz, and her faithful friends, Dorothy had returned safely home.
