  • My name is Tina Leader.

  • Have you ever gone to a conference or networking event?

  • And you were either a wallflower, watching everybody else connect and making deals and just taking it to the next level, taking it outside of that event and you're over here all alone.

  • And even if you made some connections, you've got some business cards you already know you're not going to really use its or they're loose, superficial connections that you're not really taking anything away from it.

  • And you spent all this time and energy being they're going outside, time away from your business to be there.

  • You do want an R O I.

  • So a lot of this can be resolved with lengthen, leveraging Lincoln.

  • And a lot of people don't do this because it's a little bit of unknown.

  • There are millions and millions of professionals on Lincoln right now, waiting for you to connect with.

  • So here are the three unknown lengthen strategies to a master networking.

  • So the first thing is to research exactly who is attending and connect with those individuals before the event actually happens.

  • Oftentimes you'll see on the Events page that you'll see and attendees list that you can go through.

  • You would then take all of those names, put it in the search engine of Lincoln and then connect with them directly.

  • Message them.

  • Let them know that you're going to the same exact events that they're attending and why you're going to be there.

  • And that way you'll have that first touch point before the event actually even happens.

  • What's often cool about this is that you can go ahead and go up to the individual and being might recognize you already because you've already made that connection beforehand.

  • But even if they don't, you've done your research.

  • So you've looked at their lengthen profile.

  • You looked at the jobs that they've gone through.

  • You look that the projects that they may have been on and all of that is usually either in the description or in the experience parts of their lengthen profile.

  • You can also look at the recommendations area right at the end of the length and profile and see who they might be connected to and connect with those individuals and see what projects that they're working on that they may have worked on as well.

  • Step number two is the follow up sequence after the event, so you already had a touch point with them before the event, connecting with them and enduring the vow.

  • Hopefully, you saw them and introduce yourself to them, and then afterwards, you want to make sure you connect with them again.

  • A touch point is whenever you interact with another human.

  • So if we want to think about the seven touch point theory, which is by the seventh time that you have an interaction with somebody, you usually have built enough trust or report to take the relationship to the next level.

  • So that usually means either you get a cell or you can form a business partnership or maybe even gets a proper professional introduction with another person.

  • The third point is to be a super connector.

  • Now a super connector is the person who doesn't necessarily have any direct value to give.

  • But they have indirect Sally, which is their network.

  • So let's just say that you met John, who does Facebook ads.

  • He has a Facebook ad agency, and he needs a copywriter.

  • Well, I know that Jacob is a phenomenal copywriter, so I made go ahead and introduce John to Jacob and Jacob to John.

  • Now, when I make that connection, even though I'm not directly adding value in terms of, I am not a copywriter myself.

  • But by making that connection, I have added value to both parties and in the future there are more likely to trust me because I built that report.

  • So now I have given value to Vote John and Jacob, and now I'm a super connector that they trust no end like for any future business references.
