  • I'm head over heels for this new Milk Tea drink I tried recently in San Francisco. It's

  • the Strawberry Matcha Latte. It was an amazing blend of strawberry sauce, strong matcha green

  • tea flavor, and a nice helping of almond jelly. So I wanted to share something similar with

  • you! I think you're gonna love it!

  • First i start by making a strawberry compote. In a small saucepan, i'm adding 2 cups of

  • freshly chopped strawberries, stemmed and quartered. Fresh strawberries are the sweetest

  • when they are in season, but if they aren't, i prefer to use frozen strawberries because

  • they're picked and frozen at its peak. I'll add in 2 tbsps of sugar and 2 tbsps of water.

  • I'll cook them down on medium heat, stirring every so often until the strawberries are

  • soft and the sauce is nice and syrupy. This will take about 10 minutes. Once it's done,

  • i'll give it a good mash to make sure we don't have any chunky bits. Then I'll

  • set it aside to cool. The leftover can be stored in an air-tight container in the fridge

  • for up to 2 weeks.

  • Next i'll make my matcha green tea mixture. It's no secret that matcha green tea is

  • one of my favorite ingredients. It's basically finely ground powdered green tea powder.

  • A lot of you have asked in my other matcha recipes - where can I get it and what should

  • I look for? I really love matcha green tea like this one that's made in Japan. That's

  • where matcha originated so they have the highest quality teas.

  • I'm adding 1 tsp of matcha powder to my bowl along with 1/3 cup of boiling hot water.

  • Using my bamboo whisk, i'll whisk it vigorously until the tea becomes nice and frothy.

  • Now mix it all together. For boba lovers out there, you can start by adding tapioca pearls

  • but I love grass jelly so that's what I'm going to use. Next i'll add in ¼ cup of

  • the strawberry compote, then filling the rest of my glass with ice. Then I'll add a layer

  • of whole milk until it reachesof the way up and finally topping it off with my

  • matcha green tea.

  • Does this look amazing, or what? Quality ingredients, awesome drink! Thanks to Boba Guys for this

  • drink inspiration! I'll see you at our next coffee break. Bye!!
