Subtitles section Play video Print subtitles - Good morning, clan! - Welcome to Rocky Park, here just outside of Flagstaff. Obviously we got here last night, it's on yesterday's vlog. But now it's daylight, you can actually see it. And if you can see around me, we're surrounded by pine trees. And it's cool. And it smells good. And um, I just stepped in dog poop. - Haha. (bass guitar beat) Alright, boys, what we doin' over here? - [Children] Building a jump. - [Voiceover] So how do you do this, Chase? This is the start. - Yeah. - [Voiceover] So you got a big old log. - Yeah, so you put like another, like another two rows of rocks in then fill it with dirt. And then get though here then jump it. - [Voiceover] Okay, so we're gonna put more rocks down here. - [Chase] Yep. - [Voiceover] And then you're gonna cover that with dirt so that your bike can kinda just (mimics air rushing). - [Chase] Yeah, and-- - [Voiceover] And then are you gonna like come way up here? - [Chase] No. - [Voiceover] Or about right here? - Like about the bike right here. - [Voiceover] Oh, alright, can't wait to see it. - Jason said the more rocks there are, the less dirt. - [Voiceover] The less dirt. - Yes, yes, party people, we are here, Rocky Park. And we're going for a little walk with the kids, we got all the kids with us here, hello kids. Cause if you, oh, watch the cow patty. Deer patty. Someone had diarrhea. We got a few more kids coming up later tonight, but for the most part we got most of them here already. And we're just going out for a little exploration. Kids are looking for animal bones, there's quite a few out here because actually, this is a nice, this is like a real popular hunting spot. And so, once they get their, you know, get their kill, they clean 'em, and then they leave the carcasses out here for the wild to pick at. So there's actually quite a few bones just kinda laying around. All the good stuff is already picked over, I'm sure, but, at least they could find some little stuff. Get Daniel all excited, he's like "Oh, bones!" This is probably my favorite part of camping in the wild, camping in the woods, is just walking and exploring. Cause I mean, you walk, I dunno, 100, 100 yards from our trailer, and in every direction is just trees. Just all the way around, it's trees. Smells like the forest, it's amazing. Unfortunately though, we are still pretty close to the I-17. So you can hear the traffic. It sounds like we're at home, where you can see the (mumbles) traffic from Grand Avenue. So it's not like super peaceful, super quiet. But there are no lights, and we definitely get a light show at night, with all the stars. Yeah, check this out. Little hill here, look at this giant tree that's fallen over. That's probably, I dunno, 30 years old? 50 years old? I don't know. Completely dried, chewed up from animals and stuff. Another one down there, good stuff, good stuff. Alright, the kids did some work over here with Jason, and actually got a decent sized ramp. Let's see what Bryce can do. - I'm not that good at it. - [Voiceover] You gotta go faster. You're going way too slow. - I know! - [Voiceover] Gotta go faster. - [Child] It's hard. - [Voiceover] It's not hard. You go faster, you'll roll right over it. Alright, let me show them how it's done. - [Voiceover] Watch out, Chase. - [Chase] He's gonna biff. - [Voiceover] No he isn't. - [Chase] Can you do a bunny hop? - And instantly I feel like I'm 13 again. Alright, now Chase is gonna give it a try. Something tells me he's gonna do a little better than Bryce. He's been doing this a little bit longer than Bryce. Yeah, dude, good job! Alright, Bryce is gonna give it a try again, now that he's seen me and Chase do it. He knows he needs to go a lot faster. So here we go. There you go, keep going, keep pedaling, keep pedaling, keep pedaling! Boom, baby! Alright, now it's time to take the dirt bike on it. Let's take the dirt bike on the jump. So, I don't remember if I told you guys yesterday in the vlog, you know, I did all that work with the battery and the gas tanks and whatnot. We've got the gas tanks figured out. But while I was messing with the gas tanks I realized that when I put the battery back on the trailer I forgot to put it in the on mode. Where the power is flowing through the trailer. So all those hours that the trailer was plugged in and charging the battery didn't do crap to the battery. And so we're having the exact same problems we were having at the Cinders where the battery only lasts about two hours. And there's nothing going on, there's nothing plugged in. Basically, the water pump is on, which, if you're not using the water, it's not pumping any, it's not using electricity. So, I don't know what's draining the battery so fast, or if the battery just literally just has not gotten that good of a charge. And therefore it doesn't last very long. But our battery should be lasting more than two hours. It's just ridiculous, and so, I have to keep the generator on now, basically every two hours. I've got stopwatches going, and it's just, pain in the butt, man. Crappy thing is, I actually bought a battery charger, thinking oh, well, you know, if we run into the same problem I'll just plug it in the generator and charge the battery off the generator. It takes nine hours to charge my battery. Can't run the generator for nine hours. And I honestly think that's what the problem is right now. I've only run the generator for maybe an hour, two hours tops. So the battery is just not getting enough charge. If I ran the generator for nine hours, it probably would get a full charge. Well, I'm tired of messing with the crappy trailer, it just, it is what it is. Refridgerator's staying cold, so, as long as we keep an eye on it, know every two hours or so turn the generator back on, we'll be good to go. Time for some lunch. We picked these up at Costco when we were there the other day. They're these, I don't know, Mediterranean flatbread picascas. Like flatbread pizzas or whatever. They've got like, cheese and jalapenos, garlic. They're awesome. Three pack, three pack, three three packs for 15 bucks. Like, okay, why not? Throw them on a skillet like this, like, they're perfect for camping. Baigleys just got here, and they got the Fisher kids with them. So now we have Connor, and Aubrey, and there's Taylor, and there's Bradon. So the Baigleys and Fishers are here now. I think we're just waiting on maybe two more families. And the kids have kinda made this their playground. This is kind of in the center.
