  • I want to personally thank him for changing my life.

  • I am a legally married woman because of him and so is my wife.

  • (applause)

  • His courage and compassion created a quality for everyone,

  • he moved us forward and made more happen in the past 8 years than I've ever dreamed possible.

  • I love him, I love Michelle.

  • Here's a little bit of time we spent together over the last 8 years.

  • Our first guest who'd made history by becoming the first African-American president of the United States.

  • You gotta really want that job bad because that's just tons of pressure.

  • It's like being the host of Ellen

  • Almost, it's almost that kind of pressure.

  • We have a brand new president of the United States!

  • Your husband is a good dancer but you're a better dancer than him. - I know!

  • That's what I've been telling them.

  • (dancing)

  • I always carry around this, that Ellen gave me, it means a lot to me.

  • I'd better get back to work.

  • I just wonder if you can do more push-ups than I can do.

  • You know, it depends on how your back is. I know you've got the "back issues."

  • No, no.

  • (doing push-ups)

  • While I was in D.C., I went to the White House and I stole something.

  • It's Bo Obama, I took their dog.

  • Michelle, you can get him back if you admit that you cheated in our push-up contest.

  • Both you and Michelle are really, really amazing.

  • Michelle is such a strong wonderful role model for all women

  • and you know, she's been a great first lady.

  • That is indisputable.

  • Somebody call the Situation Room, because things are about to get hot.

  • Michelle, this Valentine's Day I'm gonna treat you right.

  • Because I love you so much.

  • I Obama care (Obamacare) about you more than you even know.

  • When I see you two together, you seem very loving and very close.

  • Laughter is huge and I think you have that down.

  • And mutual respect, he's always had my back.

  • What an amazing day for our country!

  • President Obama just came out and supported same-sex marriage and I said,

  • WOW.

  • There have been moments in history when someone has had the courage to stand up for what they believe in,

  • and that one action changes everything,

  • and I hope that this is one of those times.

  • It takes a brave man to take a stand like this, so, Mr. President, to you I say thank you very, very, very much.

  • Thank you.

  • I apologize for doing it but I broke your retweet record.

  • I heard about that.

  • I thought that's a pretty cheap stunt myself.

  • We have a little presidential expert, her name is Macey Hensley and I'd like you to meet her.

  • This is a big moment, whatever you want to ask, what's your first question?

  • So, is there really a book of secrets?

  • That's a secret.

  • So this is the presidential seal where I signed it on the back.

  • In case you become president, you will already have one, you don't even have to get a new one.

  • - Thank you. - You're welcome

  • Please welcome my co-host for the day, the first lady Michelle Obama.

  • Oh, Stephen...

  • Michelle, what kind of cream do you need for that rash that you were telling me about?

  • The rash?

  • Don't, don't tell people about my rash!

  • We need a cream for a rash that, uh, Shelley asked.

  • Where is the rash? What area were you telling me about?

  • My shoulder.

  • Umm lower than that.

  • I cannot tell you or thank you enough for what you've done for the gay community.

  • So, thank you.

  • Changing hearts and minds...I don't think anyone has been more influential than you are.

  • Attitudes shift and the laws followed.

  • But it started with folks like you.

  • And now after having served for 7 years and having got a lot done,

  • and seeing the process that we've made,

  • seeing the incredible resilience of the American people,

  • I feel confident that America's gonna do well.

  • And I'm just as enthusiastic as I was the first day I started.

  • And that's why I stand here as confident as I have ever been,

  • that the state of our union is strong.

  • Thank you. God Bless.

  • God bless the United States of America.

  • Thank you for everything, President Obama, First Lady Michelle.

  • We will miss you so much.
