Subtitles section Play video Print subtitles At 4, we say, “Mommy, I love you.” At 14, we say, “I have lots of trouble with my mom.” At 18, we say, “I want to leave this house.” At 30, we say, “Mom, you were right.” At 40, we say, “Please forgive me, Mom.” At 50, we say, “I don't want to lose my mom.” At 70, we say, “I would give up EVERYTHING for my mom to be here with me.” We only have one mom. Look at all of the sentences on the blackboard. What are they about? All of them are about mothers. You're right! Most people have different feelings for their mothers at different ages. Why is that? Now work in groups and share your ideas. Look at the first sentence. Children give all of their love to their mothers. That's sweet. But how come the second one says, “I have lots of trouble with my mom”? Look at us. We have our ways of thinking, so we often fight with our moms. But why does one of the sentences say, “Please forgive me”? Maybe when they’'e older, they feel sorry about hurting their moms' feelings. I see.... Ah, I really love the last one here. Me, too. Their moms may be dead, but their love for their mothers never dies. Perhaps, from now on, we should show more love to our moms before it's too late.
