  • At 50, we say, “I don't want to lose my mom.”

  • At 70, we say, “I would give up EVERYTHING for my mom to be here with me.”

  • We only have one mom.

  • Look at all of the sentences on the blackboard.

  • What are they about?

  • All of them are about mothers.

  • You're right!

  • Most people have different feelings for their mothers at different ages.

  • Why is that?

  • Now work in groups and share your ideas.

  • Look at the first sentence.

  • Children give all of their love to their mothers.

  • That's sweet.

  • But how come the second one says,

  • “I have lots of trouble with my mom”?

  • Look at us.

  • We have our ways of thinking, so we often fight with our moms.

  • But why does one of the sentences say, “Please forgive me”?

  • Maybe when they’'e older,

  • they feel sorry about hurting their moms' feelings.

  • I see....

  • Ah, I really love the last one here.

  • Me, too.

  • Their moms may be dead, but their love for their mothers never dies.

  • Perhaps, from now on,

  • we should show more love to our moms before it's too late.
