  • Howdy folks how is it going welcome to my virgin kitchen it's Barry here and today i'm

  • not feeling very well as you can hear but I don't want your sympathy we're making a

  • chicken chow mein it's delicious and I only sneezed over it 15 times when I made it, good.

  • Looks amazing right guys and you can even use chopsticks to eat it or you can do that

  • whole Mr Miyagi catching a fly thing so if you want to have a go at making this his pause

  • on the video now write it all down, if you don't know why i'm called the virgin kitchen

  • hit pause and there's a little bit more information for you it's delicious you can tweak it any

  • way you want doesn't have to be chicken you can use mince you know whatever you want to

  • do just customise it, lets do it. First up grab yourself a bowl and plonk in

  • your noodle sheets, top it up with boiling water so it's fully submerged and then cover

  • to soften to one side. Over a medium flame plonk your oil into a

  • pan and get it nice and hot before chucking in your chicken bits now I was quite lazy

  • with my chicken you'll see I didn't slice it up so I started stabbing it with my spatula.

  • When I was stabbing my chicken I was doing a stabbing face kind of like that but as I

  • said at the beginning you could use mince if you want to.

  • Once the chicken has cooked through it's time to add in all of your vegetables now I went

  • for a nice crunchy selection including celery and carrot but again it's up to you you've

  • got to make it your own you want to have it in there for a good 3 or 4 minutes to soften

  • up. Follow up by adding in your chicken stock,

  • oyster sauce and soy sauce stirring it through initially before finally adding the drained

  • softened noodles just warming those through too making sure they are all broken down and

  • well mixed together. Simply grab yourself a bowl spoon it in there and you are ready

  • to stick it in your belly. Oh my goodness guys considering the time it's

  • taken and the little amount of ingredients in there it is really full of flavour which

  • is perfect if you are in a midweek hurry or if you are not feeling that great and just

  • want to chuck something together and again you can put your own spin on it I am like

  • mr miyagi doing the gangnam style in my kitchen that is the taste description right there

  • for you. So if you have a go at making this send me

  • a picture @myvirginkitchen and if you enjoy this video don't forget to give it a thumbs

  • up comment share subscribe. Cheers guys we're like growing and it's really cool - i'm gonna

  • eat this now then have a lemsip and go to bed and stuff.

  • See you next time! Bye
