• glory: State of having respect, honor or pride
• demonstration: Open showing of emotion
• justice: Quality of being fair, equal, or just
• flesh: Soft part of fruit, vegetable that can be eaten
• stand: To be a candidate in an election
• score: A sharp mark or cut in the surface of something
• oppression: Treatment of people to limit their freedom
• momentous: Very important or serious

• hamlet: Very small village
• exalt: To praise someone
• negro: Offensive; do not use a Black person
• puffer: Poisonous fish that inhales air when threatened
• nullification: Act of invalidating, or making ineffective
• mountainside: Side or slope of a mountain
