Crimson Desert has had a successful launch that, that is, like, undeniable.

Anytime you sell 3 million units within a week, you have had a tremendous success, especially when your direct competition is something like Marathon and they only sold 1.2 million after being out on the market for several weeks.

Everybody is playing this game on console, on PC.

As a matter of fact, if we go and look at the Steam DB numbers, as if this very moment right now, the game on a Saturday—I mean, I'm sorry, on a Sunday—has reached this new all-time current, uh, uh, uh, current peak.

As we're speaking right now, 273, 000 people and 37—yeah, 273, 000 people are playing this game as of right now,

I anticipate it's only going to go up, okay?

So please explain to me why the media is so pinned on destroying this game.

I showed you guys in the last video we talked about Crimson Desert the, the several headlines where the media is trying their best to destroy this game.

Several headlines where they were using their power to convince you that this game was yabbish, okay?

But none other, none more than IGN right now.

IGN puts out an article, says, "Pearl Abyss has already made significant, meaningful changes to Crimson Desert following a rocky launch,

but patches can't fix the game's biggest problem." Okay?

The community note says, "This is clickbait.

The game did not release with any game-breaking bugs,

and users have not reported—yeah, users have not reported any game-breaking bugs.

Most reviews have been favorable," and they cite their sources.

Getting absolutely destroyed by—like, bro, what, what is IGN here for?

Can somebody tell me what is the point of games' media anymore?

Because the way I'm, I'm looking at it, it's supposed to be a love circle, right?

The company, the publisher, provides funding, right?

Then you move on to the media who informs the audience about the video game.

And then the audience plays the video game, pays for the video game,

and provides feedback to the company, the publisher, or—and/or the devs.

In a—in a—and once it sells well, the company is able to provide more funding to the developer who's able to make more games or update the game who—and who's able to provide that to the media to inform more players about that.

What happens when the love circle—in the love circle, the media teams up with either the company or the developers to act in the opposite of the best interest of the gamer?

That's what we're dealing with when it comes to the media.

And quite frankly, we're getting tired of it.

Now, IGN is getting community noted because—I mean, listen, I get it.

I have a powerful PC or something like that, right?

Maybe you're having—maybe you're planning and you're having game-breaking bugs.

I haven't seen a single post on game-breaking bugs.

And IGN is getting absolutely cooked for this.

He says, uh, IGN compares Crimson Desert's launch to Cyberpunk 2077's, which is laughably nowhere near as catastrophic.

The game runs smooth on PS5 Pro at a stable 60 frames per second,

but they'll have you believe this is somehow as bad as Cyberpunk's launch.

Dude, the games—the games journalists really want this to fail.

The problem is that they're creating games that far exceed what the West is doing.

And the West is anxious to tear that shit down.

If this was a Ubisoft game, they would be drooling all over it, all over it.
