They often confuse borrow and and lend, and these words have very different meanings.

Lend means to give something to someone, expecting they will give it back.

If you lend something, you give something to someone, and that person will probably give it back.

Now, an example could be, can you lend me your bicycle for a week, please?

So I'm saying, can you give me your bicycle for a week, please?

And then later I will give it back to you.

Borrow means to use something that belongs to someone else.

So these words are very, very different, and you need to understand the difference.

An example could can I borrow your bicycle for a week?

So now I'm saying I want to take your bicycle for a week, and

So I'm saying, can you give me your lend bicycle?

Please choose the correct verb lend or borrow.
