Welcome back winter once again and put on your warm fuzzy sweater.

The temperature drops and your shivers freeze all the rivers around.

So finally, the snow came to Kyoto, Although it always melts during the day, which is actually good for me because I don't have winter shoes.

That being said, let me take you to the city.

But for example, places like the city center, like Kyoto, Kawaramachi or Sanjo were even cooler, like two or three years ago when there were no tourists.

Oh yeah, Kyoto during COVID was amazing because at that time, nobody except people who worked and studied in Japan could come here.

So, like, this whole place was completely empty.

Nowadays, at night especially, it gets so fucking crowded.

Recently, I've been spending a lot of time alone.

That's not to say that I don't go out with friends, but

I appreciate spending most of my days only with myself, at my own pace.

Lately, my days have just been consisting of walking around the city, grabbing something to eat, maybe going to a temple or something, and

I've been thinking about life a lot recently, about, you know, what I want to do next.

I think a lot of you people in my generation might have the same thoughts.

Most of the people I know are trying to spend as much time in school to prolong their youth or childhood, however you may call it.

Because once you're done with school, once you're done with uni, there's this pressure, you know, to do something with your life.

And I know I'm not alone when I say that I don't want to work a regular job.

Last year, I was working a contract in Osaka for half a year, and

thankfully I made enough money to be able to live the last six months without income, which was really great.

I was able to afford, you know, groceries, rent, transport, some fun activities, all without having a steady stream of money.

And so while that definitely gave me some time to think, I honestly can't say that I came to any clear conclusion or direction.

One thing I know for sure now is that I like working with people.

At my job Last year, I've spent a lot of time alongside my colleagues, interacting with thousands of customers and visitors, and

For that reason, I thought maybe I'd enjoy becoming a teacher or some Type of guide or coordinator.

As a kid, for a long time, I wanted to be an actor.

Not necessarily on tv, but maybe theater.

I also thought about voice acting, you know, just in general embodying a character that always seemed fun.

So, yeah, as I said, I don't really have any clear vision as of now.

But I also note that I felt this uncertainty in the past, and

things somehow always work themselves out.

I'm just gonna keep on keeping on, you know.

As I was exploring the city today, a sort of melancholic nostalgia came over me.

A lot of the spots that I've been showing you are places that I've been to dozens of times.

But the realization that I'll be leaving it all soon kinda hit me hard.

I just realized that I only got about two more months before, you know, before I go back to my country, the Czech Republic.

But hey, before that happens, let me make a couple more vlogs and show you a couple more places I've never taken you to.

That right there is my favorite ramen in Kyoto.

It' Ramen Kenkyushitsu, which basically means ramen research facility.

Like, as in like the chef there is a scientist, and

he's trying to figure out the best possible ramen, you know.

Let me show you what the ramen actually looks like.

So I actually told them one ping that it's my favorite ramen spot in Kyoto and they gave me like candy.

This interaction actually reminded me of a quote I read the other day, which was something like A short chat with a stranger can mean more than a long conversation with someone you already know.

You know, like when you have a long talk with a friend feels really nice, of course, but

having even just a brief pleasant moment with a complete stranger just always makes me feel hopeful.

Like suddenly the world feels a little warmer.
