That great show Revenge, brand new show on Netflix.

But we must first talk about York Boulevard and Eagle Rock.

You say people don't believe that you grew up in Southern California.

Well, I'm half Hispanic, so that's the other part people generally don't believe.

Eagle Rock was such an obscure place back in the day, and

especially anybody who grows up there who lives there now, they have a really wonderful feeling for it.

They let me in recently, which is really nice.

You were saying that at the time, like it was.

Igor was obscure, that Glendale, which is right next door, didn't even know it was there.

I think growing up here, there is this unusual small town quality here.

And actually, the Netflix show that I'm doing very much touches on it because it's kind of a love letter to L.

Okay, we'll talk about that in one second.

Just because they have rebooted everything else.

Do you think Revenge should come back in some incarnation?

Well, revenge is coming back in some incarnation.

And I think if I understood that, the writers explained to me what they were doing and, you know, it was a really significant show for ABC back in the day.

And I think ABC recognized that and they're bringing it back.

So now this is called Soundtrack, and it's sort of a musical and sort of not a musical.

It's almost as if you were to take Paul Thomas Anderson's Magnolia and mix it with, oh, the NBC show.

With the family that jumps back and forth in town?

And then we sort of, you know that feeling how we all have songs that are really important to us and we're going through something and you think of that song and we identify with that and that's what happens with these characters.

And they kind of burst out into lip syncing.

They got the soundtracks to the real songs.

They got real songs, and they go anywhere from, like, the 60s on up.

And Beyonce's choreographer, James Alsop did the choreography for this.

Now, your character, Margo Weston, that sounds like a prestigious name.

She's an actress who has a really kind of obsessive yet distant relationship with her daughter, but

Terms of Endearment sort of reminds me a little bit of that.

We talked about it a little bit, and she's really exhausted by what she does.

She doesn't really want to act very much anymore, but she's formidable.

And people think maybe kind of hyper controlling, but she's actually a really decent human being.

And, ladies, let me have your moms or dads.

Ever met a lover of your life and had a specific opinion?

That boy is only interested in himself and his career.

When he's not talking over you, which is rare, he's making you wait for the next thing to come out of his mouth, as if he's going to offer up some kind of profundity or great insight, neither of which has happened or is ever likely to.

He is fatuous, vainglorious, and worst of all, insubstantial.

You deserve someone who's going to care what you have to say, not someone who's going to suck up all the oxygen around you until you suffocate.

When you read that on the page, you know, it's gonna be fun.

And I'm gonna say that our creator, Josh Safran, who's really, really smart and brilliant, sat us all down, and

we spoke at great length about my relationship with my own daughter.

And I'm realizing that's sort of an exaggerated.
