Has some pretty amazing markets, from dining in a former church to strolling through one of the prettiest parks in the city.

In this video we're going to show you all of the very best markets that the UK capital has to offer.

And I can guarantee that you probably haven't heard of one or two of them before.

Victoria Park Market takes place every Sunday from 10 till 4 and here you can find quite a wide array of stands.

There's everything from fresh fruit to groceries and even a stand that focuses on selling dog trees.

I think one of the best aspects of this market is that there's a real focus on local produce and lots of the stores cater to local residents doing their weekly shop as opposed to stand selling mass produced goods.

Honestly, I can't get over the variation in all of the stalls.

There's even a Bloody Mary bar and lots of cuisine from all over the world.

The first part of the market that we visited is more of a locals area where you can get your groceries, but

then further into the park you'll find all sorts of hot food options to go.

So we went to a stand called Chubby Dumpling and we got some dumplings and noodles.

I'm pretty sure they're going to be amazing because I read some really good reviews online.

The great thing about this market being in the park is that there's no shortage of places to sit down and enjoy your meal, which is obviously a massive problem in many of the other busier markets.

So yeah, I would definitely come to Victoria Park Market on a sunny Sunday.

We're now going to walk all the way along the canal to reach our next market of the day, which is one of my personal favorites.

Broadway Market is situated on a street of the same name and it's a completely different vibe from the market we just visited.

Here you'll find an eclectic mix of stalls including vintage finds, local souvenirs and of course some hot food options.

Broadway Market has a particularly good sale selection of non food items and I love the number of thrift stores.

The market is actually part of the old Porter's Path, which was once a tradesman route between Shoreditch and Hackney.

Broadway Market isn't just about the market itself.

Instead, all along the street you'll find all kinds of eateries and little independent shops, including some very nice bookshops.

The market runs every weekend throughout the year, but

I particularly recommend heading there in the Morning on a Saturday or a Sunday in order to experience the fewest crowds.

This is Leather Lane Market and it's a bit of a hidden gem in comparison with some of the other markets we're visiting because not that many people know about it.

And so it definitely has more local and authentic feel.

Here you can find all kinds of street food from all over the world, from Mexican food to Japanese food.

And the unique thing about this particular market is that it actually only takes place from Monday to Friday, so you often find office workers who are here on their lunch breaks.

There are over a hundred stalls at this market, though they weren't all operating the day of our visit.

This is actually the oldest market in the borough of Camden, as a market took place here as far back as 1666.

Exmouth Market is a really cute street with lots of little independent cafes and bars and shops.

There are also a few market stores here, but not that many street food stalls.

However, it is a really short walk away from Leather street, so you can easily combine a visit to the two.

There's been a market as Bissell fields for over 350 years though the building you see today is actually a really fine example of a Victorian covered marketplace and dates back to 1876.

The particularly great thing about visiting this market is it's actually undercover and so if it happens to be raining during your stay, then you can still enjoy all the kinds of street foods.

But under the COVID We got these sat menus from Fan Noodles.

I got the aubergine spicy one and Antoine got some sort of meat one.

Old Spitalfields Market is open every day of the week, though there are special themes depending on the day you visit.

For example, on Thursdays there's a vintage market and the first and third Fridays of the month see a vinyl market take place.

I really like this market overall because you can get all kinds of different foods and then sit together in the central tables.

I just bought myself a little cherry blossom ring.

Our next market is located close to Oxford street, right in the heart of Mayfair.

And this is a great find if you want to go somewhere on a rainy day, eat lots of different kinds of foods and really enjoy a beautiful building, because you'll see why in a minute.

Mayfair is probably the most beautiful food hall in the entirety of London.

It was open to the public in 2019 after previously being used as an antiques market following its deconsecration in 1974.

Today you can buy all kinds of tasty food, from dumplings to tacos.

And there's even a beautiful wine bar close to the front of the church.

This is probably my favorite food market in London, and

my only real critique is that the food is all a little on the pricey side.

If it's nice weather, then you can even head to the upstairs outdoor terrace.

If you head downstairs to where the crypt once was, then you'll find even more food vendors.

The idea of the market is that you order your food at one of the mini restaurants and you then get given a little buzzer.

When the buzzer goes off, you go up to collect your food and then you're free to enjoy.

Camden Market is actually comprised of three different markets.

Camden Lock, Hawley Wharf and also the Stables Market.

They all run into each other and in total there are around a thousand stalls to explore.

There's clothes, food, vintage things, all kinds of things.

And if you want to eat here, which I highly recommend you do, each vendor has a display of what their food looks like directly outside of their standard, and

so you can see exactly what you're about to buy.

This also means if you all want to eat different cuisines, that's totally possible.

You can all go to the different stores you want to go to and then find a table all together in the middle.

Seven Dials Market is nestled right in the heart of Covent Garden, close to the iconic Neil's Yard.

To be honest, it can feel a little touristy and gets impossibly busy during the weekends and school holidays.

7 dials is even home to the world's first ever cheese conveyor belt restaurant, which serves up tasty slices of British cheese.

Maltby Street Market is a weekly market which takes place on Maltby street underneath the rail tracks.

Although it's a bit less of a hidden gem than some of the other things we're showing you, it's definitely more of a hidden gem than nearby Borough Market, which is always busy.

One of the best concepts of this market is that you can get your food from one of the many stalls and then head to one of the bars, which are nestled within the vaults below the tracks, to enjoy a drink together with your meal.

So we've ended up going for some Cuban food.

I got some vegetarian tacos and Antoine has got a Cuban sandwich.

Finally, that was quite good value for money.

The Cuban sandwich was 1150 and the tacos were also 11.50.

Baro Market is probably the most famous food market in London as it boasts the claim to being the oldest food market in the capital, dating all the way back to the 12th century.

Today it's open from Tuesday through to Sunday and you can find dozen upon dozen of stalls selling tasty food from all over the world.

Columbia Road Flower Market is pretty unique in that it focuses on all things floral.

The market only takes place on a Sunday from around 8am to 3ish p.m.

The best time of the day to go is actually at the beginning of the afternoon when you can typically get the best deals on flowers and other plants.

There are a few things to know before visiting the market and I'll run through them.

Now the first is probably the most important and that's to note that not all markets take place every day.

Some are only at the weekend and some are only during certain times of the day.

And the other thing is that actually not all markets sell the same products, so some are more focused on vintage, some are more focused on antiques, and

Almost all vendors actually only accept contactless payments and most don't accept cash at all.

There are a few that still have minimum card payments, but that's becoming more rare and rare.

When it comes to personal safety, you should note that the markets can become very, very busy and as a result this is a haven for pickpockets.

Obviously there's always a risk of being pickpocketed in big cities like London, but

in big crowds I always wear a crossbody bag like this one with a zip to protect my belongings.

If you're able to, then a great way to avoid the crowds is to plan your visit during the weekdays and in the mornings.

This is especially true of places like Borough Market which can get particularly busy during times like school holidays.

Just be aware of dietary requirements though, because I've noticed that quite a lot of them have things like chicken.

Bathroom facilities can often be few and far between at some of the markets and so I definitely recommend bringing little bits of hand sanitizer because this isn't always readily available at all of the stalls.
