Present continuous

Today we're going to learn the front roll in two minutes or less.

First thing we're going to do is talk about the beginning.

We're going to squat down, placing our hands right to the floor.

From here, we're going to practice pushing our butt up in the air while our head goes low.

Just doing this a few times to get used to bearing our own weight.

Once we got the hang of that, we're going to go to the middle of the skill to practice this.

We're going to sit all the way down, pulling our body into a tucked shape.

It's very difficult if you wrap your arms around both legs back and forth couple times.

Now, from here, we're going to practice the end.

As we roll forward, we're going to place the feet and try to stand right up.

Notice we're not using our hands to do this.

You can do it at first if you need to, but

it actually makes it a little bit easier if you just let the speed of the roll push you right to those feet.

We're going to tip forward and go all the way up to our feet.

Hands go low, head goes low, while the butt goes high.

We push through the toes and we stand right up, and that's the front roll.
