I did one of the cheesiest, most touristy things you can do in Greece and I don't regret it at all.

This is Little Kook, a cafe in the Pseri neighborhood of Athens, known for its over the top seasonal decorations that spill into the street in our city Pocket guide.

Our local writer calls it the most Instagrammed spot after the Acropolis.

And well, I'm Lonely Planet's social media director, so I went to see it for myself.

Every spooky thing about this time of year is here, though it's mostly about treats, not tricks.

Little Kook serves the most decadent oversized desserts, but

despite my serious sweet tooth, I was there at 10am and could not rationalize having cake for breakfast.

So I ordered coffee, which was strong, just like I like it, and

French toast, which truthfully looked a lot better than it tasted.

Don't get me wrong, it was fine enough and I ate most of it, but

let's be honest, I was here for the vibes more than anything else.

The best way to see this part of Athens is by wandering the tight crisscrossing streets and I heard Little Kook's music from afar, like a siren luring me in as I got closer and closer to its fantasy world.

It's it's free to walk by and take photos of the outside, but

the real magic is inside, where only customers can go.

This is where you can really ooh and ahh at the details and appreciate the fairytale come to life.

transforming a whole street corner probably doesn't come cheap post Halloween.

The whole place will morph into a red and green sparkly tinsel covered wonderland for the holidays.

So it's cool you could come back another time and have a different experience.

My overall it's silly, it's kooky as its name implies, but most of all, it's good, wholesome fun.

For children, sure, but also your inner child.
