Disneyland claims to be the happiest place on earth.

And it sure makes my family happy no matter how many times we visit.

But I don't know if it makes me that happy.

Anyways, we just got reservations to Tokyo Disney's Fantasy Springs Hotels, which has been nearly impossible to get.

My wife says it's supposed to be magical.

So I decided to see if Fantasy Springs Hotel actually makes me happier than this place just 20 minutes away called Hotel Spring Springs, which is almost identical in name but a tenth of the price.

Number one, I must rate both hotels based on how happy it makes me feel.

And number two, find a cool souvenir from each hotel shop, which makes me happy.

Now let's get started from Fantasy Springs.

So this hotel is integrated into the Disney Sea park itself.

More specifically, the newest Fantasy Springs area.

The furthest location from the main entrance, making it an advantageous starting point when trying to access rides here at Open.

Also, it it has direct park access, making it easy to go from park to hotel and back any time of the day.

Apparently, the hotel was built around a magical spring created by a spirit.

And as the water flowed outward, it discovered different worlds.

And when it returned, the stories shaped the land, including the hotel.

From the mix of Frozen, Peter Pan and Tangled.

But I don't know, it doesn't really make me any happier.

So the hallway from the parking lot was pleasantly scented.

Even though we did an online check in, we still had to wait a bit.

But the staff were extremely professional and trained and ensured our utmost happiness.

Kinda expected though for the price we're paying.

Just a two minute walk from Kaihin Makohari station.

And like I said, a 20 minute train ride to Tokyo Disneyland.

Yeah, and the most important part is that a night here costs about 10,000 yen.

The lobby is clean and well maintained and so far perfect for the price.

Can't complain for the size of our family.

You can see this room is quite pastel, to be honest with you.

That said, I think they've done this whole entire style and they've gone full 100% with it.

How I sleep, like later tomorrow morning.

I do have a nice big couch here that fits all our stuff.

I like how they have the TV here that is mounted in like this cool little frame, kind of like a mirror, mirror on the wall.

I. I think I'd prefer something a little bit more modern, but, you know, that's just me.

I wonder if a lot of dads feel the same way as I do right now.

So one thing that's always important for me is a toilet.

Now this one is one of those premium washlets.

It has all the functionality that you would want.

You can pinpoint the pressure and the position.

I liked how the bathtub was on the larger size, and

shampoo and conditioner seemed to be a decent quality.

Now let's look at my room at Hotel Springs Makohari.

As you can see, it is not as spacious as Fantasy Springs.

The interior is on the older side, but I didn't expect too much for the price.

The side tables here have all the controls that you would want.

It's got a lounge area, small TV and a little dresser.

All right, let's see what's in the fridge.

So the bath facilities are pretty standard for like a business style hotel.

Pretty much everything you need to get to work.

So the toilet here looks like an older model, but it's still a washlet nonetheless.

But it does look like they took an older toilet and just put the lid on it to make it a wash lid.

And this is the sleeping quality as far as sleep.

But Disney showed up with a warmer comforter and better pajamas.
