Today, I'm going to show you something that's been a part of my daily routine for years, but

I've never really talked about it before.

One minute on the floor every single evening.

What I'm going to show you is more than just random static stretching,

like the kind you might remember to do once a week or after a workout.

And the best part, it's simple, sustainable, and it actually works.

Sit on the floor and spread your legs as wide as you comfortably can.

Whatever it looks like right now, that's perfect.

Move around, rock side to side, lean forward, circle your torso.

Spend some time here, and let your nervous system realize you're safe.

It's about whether it looks different in a week.

And after a month, maybe you lean forward an inch further.

You're proving to yourself that this actually works in helping you to feel better.

And this is how we structure everything in our programs.

Small, consistent practices that compound over time.

Now, I'm showing you the straddle because this is what my body needs for the activity I love doing.

Your body might need something completely different.

Your restrictions might be in your shoulders, your spine, or your ankles,

Figure out what you need and then practice that thing daily.

This is where a program beats random YouTube drills.

But for now, let's use the straddle to show how daily practice works.

Well, you attach it to something you already do every day.

For example, I do this while winding down in the evening.

You could do this in the morning while your coffee brews.

Or even while watching your favorite show at night.

Pick your cue and then stack this one minute straddle, sit along with it.

Just sit in a straddle, move around and breathe.

And if you're thinking, "Well, I can barely open my legs at all, Ryan."

You're not supposed to be good at this yet.

And if the straddle doesn't feel right for your body, then pick something else.

The daily practice principle is the point, not this specific position.

And that's why this video isn't really about the straddle.

First, convincing yourself that consistent practice actually changes your body.

Second, understanding that you need to work on what your body specifically needs,

not just copy random drills you see on YouTube.

I'm showing you the straddle because that's what I need.

Use a program that assesses where you're at, gives you the specific practices you need, and
