Now Thailand and Cambodia have returned to a ceasefire agreement that was broken three weeks ago in a dangerous flare up of cross border fighting.

The truce was signed by the two defense ministers and comes into effect immediately.

Both sides have agreed to freeze troop movements along the border.

The deal will allow almost a million displaced people to return to their homes.

Our correspondent in Bangkok, Panisa Aymocha is following developments with the agreement itself that come after 20 days of fighting along the borders.

As we already mentioned that these affect over a million people in both sides of the country.

Obviously this was an agreement initially signed a few months ago back in October which President Trump presided over.
