What was your first impression of Sigourney?

She's Ellen Ripley and so many iconic characters that I grew up seeing.

Then all of a sudden I'm working beside her, learning from her, watching her transform from this scientist in 2007 and then now coming back as Kiri.

You're witnessing Sigourney weaver play a 14 year old.

I was so petrified of that teenager because she, no matter what I did, I couldn't.

She didn't want me to hug her, she didn't want me to kiss her, she didn't want me to hold her hand.

You know, I have to say that Neytiri is one of the greatest creations.

I'm just going on record because I love you.

You could also do we made a mistake and now we're correcting it.

Sigourney, if your character in Alien, Ellen Ripley, landed on Pandora, do you think she would survive?

Boy, would she love it if the alien didn't arrive with me.

I think that's probably what she dreams of when she's in hypersleep.

I just want to say that if you look carefully, you might see a little tooth that comes from Neytiri's going do it for me.

I'm doing that so much to my children and my husband.

Sigourney, you have a background in theater.

It was called Titanic and ironically, I mean, it was the most famous Titanic story until Jim Cameron made his glorious film.

There was a night I'm supposed to preset two hamster like creatures inside my bloomers that I then turn to, I think it's my mother and say that you killed them.

I think I was ill at ease and I forgot to present the hamsters and I pretended that they were just dead and I carried on.

Zoe, what's one directing note James Cameron has given you that you've never forgotten?

It's, you know, every time you come at him with ideas that gets him all excited.

That's so magnificent because it's collaborative and it allows you to really play.

Now it looks like I've given you a mustache.

Zoe, what have you learned from Sigourney, ultimate sci fi queen?

You're working together to never stop playing, to witness you transform yourself and go back in time to a place in your life.

Well, I needed healing, so I'm healing myself.

It was very cathartic and I saw that and I felt that and.

And I've also been in therapy for years and God knows what other things.

You're much too generous for both of you.

What's exciting you most in fashion right now?

I think it's all the new designers for all these huge brands.

It's like the big shakeup that's happening and how they're all shifting.

So many of them are designers that have been putting in the work for all these different houses.

Great designers like Anthony Vaccarello, who has been a Saint Laurent for almost 10 years and really has distinguished that 80s 90s woman that, that maybe reminds him of his mothers, the mothers in his life.

And it reminds me of the women in my life and, and

how my 8 year old self used to view them as these iconic and sexy and just wonderful and strong women.

Yeah, I'm calling her the Ellen Ripley slash Carrie Rambo.

And this is Zoe in the south of France in the 60s, 70s.

This beautiful, this beautiful, sweet woman has that inside of her.

I needed more than 10 minutes because this is something that you have to like add and then you take away and then you add and then it kind of comes together.
