Now that Halloween is officially behind us, we can move ahead very rapidly to Thanksgiving.

And there's really only one thing that says Thanksgiving besides the turkey and the pie, and

We want to get out to Angie at MetLife Stadium, where the crews are hard at work bright and early, checking on some of the balloons that you can look forward to seeing on the big day.

Not quite Thanksgiving yet, but it sure is looking like parade day here at MetLife Stadium.

She is the director of operations for Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

We've seen Mario and Pac man being filled up this morning.

Tell us what we're doing here this morning ahead of parade day.

We like to consider this the kickoff to parade season.

And it's a really fun day for us because not only are we revealing all of the new featured balloons for the 99th Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade today also serves an operational function for us.

So we'll be test flying all of these balloons today for the first time.

It'll be the first time that we see how they react in real world wind conditions.

We'll be training our balloon teams on how to operate and fly these balloons so that we're all ready for Thanksgiving morning.

And what can folks look forward to as far as new balloons?

I know that's something that everyone gets really excited.

We see a couple of them here, tell folks about what they can expect.

There are 32 balloons in this year's parade, but today we're showing off our new ones.

We have an onion carriage for Shrek which has eight characters from Shrek on it, which is the most characters that have ever been featured on a balloon.

These are such iconic characters, which is what we try to do every year is really bring in the best in entertainment.

What else can folks expect on parade morning?

In addition to our balloons, we also have 23 fantastic floats that are going to be featuring the best in entertainment that will be performing on Thanksgiving.

We have 11 marching bands from across the country.

There's over 8,000 participants in the parade.
