We are here in Lima, specifically the neighborhood of Miraflores, and

there is no better place to be a foodie than in this city.

In this video, we're gonna go on a delightful foodie adventure.

We're gonna hit up our favorite restaurants, and

we're gonna show you how diverse and delicious the cuisine here is in Miraflores.

So this morning, we are back at one of our favorite breakfast spots here in Lima called La Lucha Sangucheria Crioda.

And they actually have several restaurants across the city, so you don't have to be in Miraflores to eat here.

But basically, they specialize in a type of sandwich known as pan con chicharron.

It's like a pork sandwich with sweet potato and onions.

And Sam has ordered, like, a fancy beef one.

Some smoothies, some purple corn juice, and, yeah, we're just gonna have our favorite breakfast.

So this is the classic sandwich I was mentioning.

As you can see, some nice, juicy, plump pieces of pork, slices of sweet potato, and red onion.

I love the red onions because they've been soaking in lemon juice, so they're just, like, nice and citrusy and, like, that acidity coming through with the greasiness of the pork.

And then the sweetness of the sweet potato.

So it's like all these different flavors combined.

I think that's the best thing about this dish.

Well, I got the promo, which is the papas guayro.

It's a special type of potato that grows up in the mountains, and

it comes with a glass of chicha morada, the purple corn juice.

Remember, I tried it in Japan, and I was not a fan.

This one is also sweetened, so it's very nice.

And I'm gonna take my potato and just dip it into that yellow, spicy aki sauce.

And for mine friends, I went for the Lomo sandwich, which is the beef one.

And then it also has tons of cheese, double cheese on the back.

It's a meaty and cheesy goodness type of sandwich.

It's almost like a Peruvian Philly cheese steak.

And the thing I love about this place too, they have, like such nice, crispy, fresh made buns.

So when you come here, they honestly have some of the best sandwiches I've ever had in Peru.

And they're right up there with any sandwich I have it really anywhere in the world.

And to wash it down, I have got the lucuma shake tied for my favorite fruit in Peru.

The lucuma and the churimoya are my two favorite fruits.

This one has a bit more of like an orange and a creamy texture.

It was referred in a gelato shop as the egg fruit.

I don't know if I quite agree with that, but I find it delicious on its own.

But it also is really good to try with a shake.

You can also try lucuma ice cream as well.

If we had to just choose one restaurant that we like the most, Puntu Azul is right at the top or near the top.

So the thing that's so interesting about this restaurant is not only is the food great, but

This is a place that we've gone out with your relatives, with your grandma.

We've also gone out with your parents here.

And we've brought my parents here many years ago.

But this is special because it's our first time to take the little Monchicano with us.

Hopefully she doesn't wake up and scream, but we'll.
