On Instagram, I came across the fluffiest and most succulent egg sandwich my eyes had ever seen.

But to my disappointment, it was located all the way in Osaka.

Now that my plan to get this gooey and irresistible looking Japanese egg sandwich is set into motion, time to pack up the family, get them on the Shinkansen and get the road on.

Like I promised, I planned a hotel that she's definitely never experienced ever in her life.

it's a hotel built on top of a real deal Japanese temple.

It's called Candeo Hotel Osaka Shinsaibashi, right along Midosuji.

Surrounded by high fashion brands, which I thought couldn't hurt as Maiko also loves shopping.

And walking distance from here is Shinsaibashi and Namba Must visit stops when you're visiting Osaka especially.

Basically, we're right in the center of Osaka.

It's just nice, I guess if you have like a bigger family.

You can actually fit quite a lot of people in this room.

So one thing that that's nice about this place is they also have this mini deli here, so you can just grab stuff, you don't have to go outside and just bring it to your room.

Looks like they have a pretty good selection of beer here.

Maybe get some strawberry chocolates Also for the sauna heads like me, the sky spa here is definitely worth checking out with indoor and open air baths and of course a hot ass sauna.

Located right at the entrance of our hotel, as mentioned earlier, sits Mitsutera, home to the beloved goddess of Minami, a symbol of mercy in Osaka for centuries.

The temple is actually quite historic as it was founded in year 744 with the current hall dating back to 1808.

It's one of the rarest wooden structures in Osaka as it survived World War II.

Just the level of detail in here is just insane.

Its magnificent ceiling is adorned with more than a hundred flowers, while the columns and carvings are finished with lacquer, gold leaf and vibrant pigments, creating a breathtaking display of craftsmanship, super Edo style.

He says that the eleventh face, Goddess of Mercy, stands at the center, watching over people from every angle.

This is such a unique experience and we even got to participate in the ritual.
