Well, I think I'm gonna have some with my Japanese father-in-law in this video because I'm gonna ask him some questions that I'm really not supposed to ask.

I'm currently in Atami having a family trip with the in-laws and I thought I'd get to know my Japanese father-in-law a bit better by asking him some questions that I've always been afraid to ask.

I mean, I only get one father-in-law, right?

As some of these questions may not be culturally appropriate for a son-in-law like me to be asking.

So here's the catch, I'm gonna make it harder for myself.

Challenge number one, I must learn five things I don't know about him.

Challenge number two, I must ask three questions that make me feel uncomfortable.

Challenge number three, I must ask the questions at random parts of our trip.

We're cool now, but we'll see if these questions bring us closer together or if he never wants to speak to me ever again.

Now that we're settled in, let's get the road on the show.

Question number one, what was your family like growing up?

At times awkward, especially because I live in Japan, but I'm grateful that I took the chance to get to know more about him on this trip.

I guess sometimes it doesn't hurt to ask the uncomfortable questions as long as it comes from a good place.
