Hi, I am reviewing today my stay here at the Coronado Island Marriott Resort and Spa.

Basic passive voice

And if you're not familiar with Coronado Island, it is located in San Diego, California.

I booked a two-double room with a pullout bed, a couch bed, it was 500 square feet.

And I booked the room with my rewards points.

I got the resort view, I did want the ocean view, but that view, that room cost way more points and didn't have enough points for that, so I settled on a two-double bedroom.

And it's very spacious, it's pet friendly, and I stayed here for three nights and four days and today I am checking out.

So now that I have stayed in the room and explored the resort, I'm going to first give you a review of the room.

The patio, it is large, and if you have pets with you, this is fantastic, because the dogs loved going out in the patio area.

And right now my husband is out there, it's soundproofed, and also these windows from the outside you cannot see in.

My husband's out there working while I'm in here recording this, and as you can see, he is out there, cannot hear him, he cannot hear me, and Captain is out, I guess you can't She's pretty tired because we went out on a very long morning walk.

But that is the patio, let me give you a better view of it, but it's very, very large, like I love how large this patio is.

We hung out there a lot during our stay, we had some wine when we were out there at night, the dogs liked to go out there just to hang out while we were getting ready to go somewhere, they liked to run around there, so yeah, a really great space, especially if you have pets.

Okay, so I'm going, let me switch this view to the other side.

Now moving on to the bedroom, very spacious room, it is 500 square feet, so plenty of room for my husband and I and our two pups, we have two English Springer Spaniels.

There is a nice work desk here, the chair is very comfortable, there's plenty of outlets over here, and USB outlets, trash can, so my husband he was working a little bit while he was, while we were here, so he used this desk a lot, and also there were outlets here, so he had his laptop plugged in, I had mine plugged in earlier, more USB outlets.

I love that there is plenty of outlets and USB outlets, so that if there are two people that need to, you know, charge their stuff, it's not a problem.

There is the ice bucket, which we never use, but we did buy some wine down the street, and a wine bottle, so then we asked for a bottle, a wine bottle opener, this is what they gave us.

It's not that great, it kind of spilled wine a little bit when we opened it, so if you're able to get your own wine opener, it might be a better idea or have them open it for you if they can at the bar, if they would do that.

This is a nice, it's a tiny little couch, but this is actually a pull-out bed, so if you have three guests staying here, it's very possible.

Not sure how comfortable that is, but the dogs liked sleeping on there at night whenever they got too hot when they were sleeping with us.

The beds were okay, I wouldn't say they were the comfiest beds, I kind of tossed and turned, but that could be because of the temperature of the room.

The pillows were comfy, they gave you, you know, options with pillows, with the soft and kind of semi-firm, but overall, a good night's rest, just not, like, the best rest.

Little nightstand, again, plenty of outlets and USB, so that's great, there's a nightlight there, phone, yeah, clock, cable, so there was plenty of cable channels if you wanted to watch some TV, and moving on, behind me is the large TV, and there's plenty of storage.

I love it when hotels give plenty of, like, storage where you can put your luggage, so we already packed our bags, because we're about to leave, but I had my luggage laid out right here, on top of this rack, and then my husband had his over here.

I did use the iron in the ironing board, I ended up just keeping this out the entire time, because I actually use this as kind of, like, another extra shelf, so whenever we headed out, I would have all the dogs' leashes here, or whatever little miscellaneous items, the keys, we kind of just use this as a shelf.

This is the TV bar slash bar station, coffee station, the, ah, it's kind of hard to open, there we go, the refrigerator's a little outdated, it does hold plenty of food, which is great, the freezer does not work, I put some doggie ice cream here, and it melted, and it's been in there for three days now, and it has not solidified, so the freezer is just the refrigerator.

They do provide every day with two bottles of water, and then here is the little coffee kit, we never use this, I never really trust these, how clean these things are, although this looks pretty clean.

Right next to our room, there is a Starbucks, and I went there every day, fantastic service, and in here, it's a very nice size closet, very roomy, lots of hangers, this is where I grab an ironing board, I grab an extra blanket up here, this is for the pullout couch, the pullout bed, but I use the extra blanket because my husband likes to keep the temperature really low, and I'm freezing half the time, so I need an extra blanket when I'm sleeping, so there's the, there's the extra blanket right there that I was using.

So also in here is the safe, which I did not use, but it's a fairly large safe, you can fit a probably like a 15 inch laptop in there, I'm pretty sure, because it's large, if you want to have laundry service, they provide a bag there for you.

Very very spacious closet, and then when you close it, there are two nice floor body length mirrors, which is nice to have as well.

So here is the bathroom, which was super spacious, they have a separate tub and shower, and this is where we put our dog's water bowl.

We use the bathtub every night, it's very deep, the nice hot running water comes out fast, all of our used towels are in there.

They do provide shampoo, conditioner, and body wash right there, but we don't wash in here, we always take a shower and then kind of relax in the bathtub.

The only thing I wish they had was some bath salts, which they didn't have, so I called the front desk and they said if I wanted to purchase it from their wellness center or spa, they have it, but they were already closed by the time I called, so I didn't use any bath salts or anything.

So if you're coming here and you don't want to have to purchase bath salts from their spa center, definitely bring some if you want to take a bath, because it was really nice taking a bath.

The shower is over here, separate, great shower, it was nice and hot, water pressure was okay, but I love that they had also a handheld shower, but since we're with dogs, we went to the bathroom, so it was nice to have this handheld shower to rinse their paws off, so this comes in handy, especially if you have pets, and they also provide shampoo, conditioner, and shower or body wash in here, and I love it when they put it in bottles like this, because then you don't have to use those little bottles, it would be wasteful.

The only thing I guess if I had to mention something, these pumps are so high that if you're short, I think it's kind of hard to reach and use these, I don't know why, it's probably because of the design of the tub, but they placed it really high up there, so yeah, I felt like that was too high, it should be a little bit lower.

Really love the illuminated mirror, helps with putting or applying makeup because it's nice and bright, because it can get dark in here if you don't have a light like this, so I love that a lot of the hotels now are using this, it really helps with people like me who have bad eyesight or just like to have things super bright.

The counter is very spacious, we actually used the counter space up here, the toiletries they provided, they were okay, I mean, all they provided was face wipes or makeup removers, which I appreciate that, and then one bottle of lotion, this is just two now because we've been here for three nights, and then soap, but no q-tip, no cotton balls, like nothing, this is it, this is all you get, which is a little bit underwhelming, especially for a resort like this, because it's not a cheap stay.

The toilet was nice, large trash can, had a blow dryer, the blow dryer too was, I want to say, not the greatest, definitely need to upgrade their dryer, see all this dust in there, it starts to like heat up the dust, and I've actually had two blow dryers catch on fire because of dust and using it too long, so I was a little bit afraid this was going to catch on fire for using it too long, so I actually had to take breaks while drying my hair, so that was a little bit of a disappointment.

Overall, like I'm very happy with the bathroom, spacious, plenty of towels, and lots of room to walk around for two people, and even the dogs, so that is the bathroom.

There's really not much to say about the entrance, it's a little tiny, but I mean, I don't really care, I'd rather have more space in the room than a really large entrance, and the room is spacious, I love it, I love a spacious room, especially the dogs, because they get to run around, and they don't get in each other's way, and yeah, so that is the bedroom, and my little baby here is so passed out, she's had a very fun weekend here, haven't you?

Alright, so that was the room tour, and just to give a little bit about my experience while I was staying here, they were super friendly to the dogs, you don't get anything for the They didn't provide any water bowls or dog beds, they didn't get any dog treats or dog bandanas or waste bags, they did have, I believe one area where I found a dog wait station, but everything, I mean, pretty much like I had to just, you know, there's plenty of trash cans everywhere, plenty of areas to walk your dog, fantastic area to walk your dogs, because there's a gorgeous waterfront view just like steps away from our room.

I did see online that if you did book a room with, I believe, a paw package, then you get all those cool perks or cool things for your dogs, which we, since I booked this room with points, there was nothing like that.

I wish they did give something to the dogs, because usually when I go someplace where it's pet friendly, and it's, you know, a really nice resort, they usually just gift your dogs, you know, something, but here I guess you have to purchase it on top of your room stay, or whatever room you book, you have to add an add-on, so the dogs didn't get anything, but, you know, it was super pet friendly here, they can go to the restaurant with us, the bar, I mean, pretty much anywhere on the premise, like they love the dogs, and wherever we went, they were welcome, so that, I obviously prefer that over a treat bag or, you know, a dog bed.

There's plenty of things to do around here if you're into biking, which we had the dogs, we couldn't go biking, but we loved strolling along the walkway there, the coastline, the views are just incredible, and then just a short walk away, there's the ferry landing, and there's lots of shops there, places to eat and cafes, so we did that, we walked there, we got, we had breakfast there, we had lunch, I believe, did we have lunch there?

It's like I forget, because we've been here for like three days now.

Yes, we did have lunch, so we did have lunch at a Greek place, average food, but the French cafe that we went to, we had breakfast there, really great croissant breakfast sandwiches, the coffee is good, their desserts are amazing, so definitely check that place out.

We also went a little bit to the, another area, which is like a 10-minute drive, and we had dinner there one night, called Little Frenchie, another French-themed restaurant, really good.

We did eat at the restaurant one morning, and I had the breakfast buffet, and my husband ordered buttermilk pancakes, he enjoyed his buttermilk pancakes, I did not enjoy my breakfast buffet, it was, every pastry I grabbed was stale, the eggs were pretty watery and bland, so yeah, a little disappointing, especially that it's $35, I was expecting more out of the breakfast buffet, but yeah, I was pretty disappointed with like the $35 I spent on that, so I didn't have breakfast here again after that, because I don't, I didn't think it was worth the French cafe, just a 10-minute walk from here, hanging out at the pool here is really pretty, there's a little game area, so we hung out there one night, I want to say service here, for the most part, you know, everyone was really nice and friendly, the restaurant was, you know, they had great service, I want to say the hostess, like, was hit or miss, the food there is average, but the views are exceptional, so I felt like I was paying more for the view, and the experience of sitting out there, than the food itself, there are different options of parking here, you can either valet or self-park, we decided to self-park, just because it's easier, for me, it's just easier to get in and out, especially with the dogs, and it's underground, and it's super easy to park and get to your room, so I definitely prefer self-parking over valet, overall, I say this hotel, this resort is fantastic, especially if you're booking with points, now if I paid actual cash for this, I don't know, it's a little bit to say if I would use cash for this place, just because the rooms are a little bit outdated, I know they redid it, but there's just some things that I'm just like, okay, well, that's, you know, old, like the refrigerator was old, and it would make this sound all night, but it was kind of annoying, and I wish I could have unplugged the refrigerator, overall, still a fantastic stay, if you like this video, please give it a thumbs up, and don't forget to subscribe to our channel, thanks for watching, bye, she looked up.
