I recently went to Coronado Island and I took my two English Springer Spaniels with me.

I always try to go on a trip with my dogs every summer and it has to be obviously a pet-friendly location and Coronado Island is a fantastic place to take your pups and here are five things you can do on Coronado Island that are super pet-friendly.

Number one is Coronado Fairy Landing Park.

We went here pretty much every day when we were staying on Coronado Island.

It's a great place to grab breakfast, lunch, or even dinner.

It's called Coronado Fairy Landing because there are ferries that go back and forth from downtown San Diego to Coronado Island.

Unfortunately though, the ferry itself is not pet-friendly.

It's only service dogs but we weren't going to ride the ferry anyways.

We really liked this French cafe where we had breakfast there and also I think had breakfast twice there.

It's just a great area to shop, dine, and just hang out and enjoy the views.

This was a really, really gorgeous area to walk along especially with your dogs.

A lot of people who actually are just locals walking their dogs.

Great place to ride your bike because the views are just outstanding.

We where the two pups can get on one of those the bikes that have seats, the long seats.

I decided to walk with the dogs because one, they need to walk.

They're big dogs so you know they don't want to sit and watch.

It's just a great way to get exercise while enjoying the views and along the way there were like these little small patches of sand like a little tiny beach.

We would go really early in the mornings and there was never anyone there so they got to play in the sand and the water and they really enjoyed it.

It's just like a great place to walk with the dogs and if you want to meet other dog owners there's a lot.

There were a lot of people there with dogs so yeah it's really, really a great place to walk and enjoy the views and if you want to ride a bike there's plenty of bike rentals there as well.

We were staying at the Coronado Island Marriott Resort and Spa and we just happened to be there on a Thursday night and since we had been eating quite a bit at the Coronado Ferry Landing Park I wanted to try something different and this seemed a lot more local as well.

There was a bunch of people there with their dogs and their families.

There was drinks there that you can purchase.

We ended up getting pizza and then we hung out, enjoyed the sunset.

Yeah it was overall like a really great time.

If you're in Coronado Island you have to check out Downtown Coronado.

Definitely check out the famous Hotel del Coronado.

I mean celebrities used to stay there like I believe Charlie Chapman, Marilyn Monroe.

I did want to go there for their yappy hour.

It's like this special happy hour that they have with the dogs but when I was looking it up I read a blog review that they don't really do it anymore so we had to scratch that plan but luckily you know there's plenty of other you know restaurants and things to check out so then I saw this French cafe called Frenchie Cafe and it was like the most adorable sign.

They were pet friendly and their menu looked awesome so yeah so we ended up having dinner there.

We walked around the area and there was a lot of historic buildings there with information like with plaques in front of the building so it's a really interesting area.

Number five, Coronado Off-Leash Dog Beach.

Okay so if you're with your pups and if they like the beach and they like running around off-leash definitely take them to the off-leash dog beach.

Now the area is really large, the actual beach area, but there is a specific section just for dogs.

Everywhere else dogs are not allowed and it's pretty clear they have signs to where you know the area is where the dogs go.

Parking is a little bit tricky because they don't have designated parking, you just have to find street parkings.

A lot of dogs there so make sure your dog is used to being around the dogs because it is pretty packed at least when we went.

It's a great place to take your dog especially if your dog loves running around the water.
