Hey everybody, Jennifer from Tarle speech with your viewer question two words today to learn how to pronounce clean, free from dirt or impurities and cleanliness, the state of being clean or keeping things clean.

Adverbs of degree

This is a weird one, which I really don't have to explain a lot about the sounds.

I don't know why this happens, but that's the way we say it.

So to say clean, we're going to use that long E E smile.

It's the smiling, happy vowel, clean, clean, clean.

Now for clean, we are going to say a more relaxed, shorter F sound.

The F is kind of in the middle of the mouth.

You can see the tongue popping out between the top and the bottom teeth.

Another trick that I tell my students is relax your cheeks.

That helps with the F sound and for the E, your cheeks are tenser.

The last two syllables in cleanliness are lea and ness.

Clean, clean, clean, clean, clean, clean.

Cleanliness, cleanliness, cleanliness, cleanliness, cleanliness, cleanliness.

The clean kitchen reflects my commitment to cleanliness.

I know people are going to notice the difference.
