I have gin, bourbon, whiskey, and tequila.

Let's just talk about the general pronunciation.

We're not going to dive too deeply into these.

The spelling is kind of confusing on a lot of these.

So when you're saying gin, we are actually saying a J sound, not a G.

For that J sound, you're going to start by touching the tip of the tongue to the back of the top front teeth like you're saying a D sound.

Now for bourbon, I've done several lessons on this because so many people ask me about this.

Some people say bun, some people say ben.

Just think about being unstressed and more relaxed vowel.

So we have bourbon, bourbon, bourbon, bourbon, bourbon, bourbon.

Now for whiskey, the question is, are these pronounced differently?

No, they are pronounced exactly the same.

It's just different spellings for different countries.

So we have whiskey, whiskey, whiskey, whiskey.

And for tequila, the stress is going to be on syllable number two.

At the party, we had cocktails with gin, bourbon, whiskey, or tequila.

I know people are going to notice the difference.
