The imperative

Let's take a look at three practice tools that I use with my students.

To-infinitive

Hi everybody, it's Jennifer from Tarle speech and these are three of the tools that I use to create lessons and English practice for my students.

Number one, I've talked about this one in the past.

So this site hosts a new article several times a week and what's great about it is that you can read and listen to articles that are in different levels of English.

You can see here that you have lessons that you can print off and take with you.

Then you have some listening options, reading options, grammar practice, spelling practice, and word vocabulary practice.

Again, Breaking News English, it's perfect for current events.

I use this a lot with my students who are very high level English communicators and they are working in executive roles in business.

These are great materials to really learn vocabulary that you need for new topics and for current events.

Some of the reasons that I really love it is that you can get articles on many topics.

You can get opinion articles, of course, current events.

Then they have articles on different topics and trends that you can keep up with, say, if you are in the marketing industry.

You might want to keep up with what's going on.

You can listen to the articles and you can make it faster or slower.

This is great that you can listen and read at the same time.

Then my last recommendation for today is listening to a podcast.

My favorite podcast as of late is the Founders Podcast.

This is a man who reads books on business founders.

Then, to be honest, you don't have to read those books.

He does such a great job of summarizing all of the books and giving you all of the nuggets that you need to learn.

If you are new to podcasts, there are many different players out there that you can get so you can have it on your phone.

Some of them are Spotify or Apple Podcasts.

YouTube has recently launched a podcast, so you just download YouTube music on your phone and then you can download podcasts from YouTube.

All of my lessons are listed as a podcast, so you can take those with you on the go.

And my favorite episode ever is on Chung Ju Kyung, and he is the founder of the Hyundai Group.

What I love about this is that you can watch all of his podcasts on YouTube with the video and then you have the transcript that is on the screen and you can follow along with that, which is great if you need to kind of have that support of reading while you are listening.

So those are my three recommendations for English materials to practice and learn some new higher level vocabulary or just vocabulary in general.
