Let's try to think of like a fun way to start this.

The Switch 2 is pretty great on its own, but you're gonna wanna pick up a few accessories that really help bring the system to life and solve a lot of its biggest problems.

That's why I have all this junk on my desk here.

I've been testing out a ton of Switch 2 accessories to see which ones are actually worth your money, and I found a few I like quite a bit.

So the Switch 2 has 256 gigabytes of onboard storage.

That's a lot more than the Switch and the Switch OLED, but also it's still gonna fill up really fast, especially with new games like Fortnite, Cyberpunk 2077, Street Fighter 6, that take up upwards of 50, 60 gigs.

So the only way to expand your storage right now is through this specific type of SD card.

You need an Express, and there aren't a lot of options, which is why I went with the SanDisk model.

They've made all my SD cards that I bought for my Switch 1.

I recommend getting at least 256 gigabytes or more.

Games are only getting bigger, and your system is gonna fill up fast.

Another essential for any Switch owner, and really anyone who just owns a screen of any kind, is a good microfiber cloth.

This is the easiest way to get rid of all that.

I have been going with these magic fiber cloths for years now.

I've used them to clean my smartphones, my tablets.

Someone who photographs and writes about tech for a living, this stuff is super vital to me.

One of my biggest issues with the Switch 2 is that the Joy-Cons tend to dig into my hands a bit in handheld mode.

And this is something I was able to alleviate a great deal by just throwing on a protective outer case.

And this Moombop model is definitely my favorite.

It doesn't add a lot of bulk to your system.

It's got a nice, kind of durable polyurethane outer shell.

Should be good in the event that you drop your system.

But the biggest thing are just these really soft, kind of silicone-feeling grips on the side.

And best of all, this case is fully compatible with the dock so you don't have to take it off if you wanna just plop it in there.

If you play in handheld mode a lot, I highly recommend picking something like this up.

So the Switch 2 has a pretty good built-in kickstand, but sometimes you want a little more elevation, especially if you're playing in handheld mode and don't wanna have to kind of hunch over to see what's going on.

For that purpose, I really like Supcase's heavy-duty stand.

There are about 270 degrees worth of different angling options.

I have tested a lot of Switch cases over the years, but I've never used one with a built-in power bank for keeping your Switch charge on the go.

Thanks to this handy power brick right inside, you can just plop your Switch in, and suddenly your Nintendo Switch 2 is charging.

I know I've run into a lot of instances where I'm at the beginning of a flight or a commute, I take my Switch out of my case, and I realize, oh, I forgot to charge it.

You're getting a pretty good charger for your money.

This is one of Belkin's 20-watt, 10,000 milliamp-hour charging packs.

They sell similar ones separately for like 40 bucks.

When you factor that in, this case is actually a pretty solid value.

It's just also extremely attractive and well-made.

I really like that this looks sophisticated and not like something that's carrying a children's toy.

You've also got a few other color options.

If you don't care about the charging part of this case, also get Belkin's standard travel case.

Both cases get you space for 12 game cards, which is always convenient, and a nice little pouch for your cables and accessories and whatnot.

So, of course, one of the Switch 2's big new features is the ability to video chat with your friends over game chat.

Here we have Nintendo's official Switch 2 camera.

It goes for around 55 to 60 bucks, and it's super reliable.

I really like that it has its own built-in base.

This has served me well, whether I was setting it up in my entertainment center or had it on my coffee table during kind of handheld play.

It's a 480p camera, but it's been more than reliable.

And there's even a physical shutter, which I like, just for making sure the lens is off when you don't want to be on camera.

That being said, if you don't mind splurging, I really like the Logitech StreamCam.

This has been one of my favorite webcams for years.

It captures super sharp 1080p video up to 60 frames per second.

More importantly, it just has this nice clamping design that makes it a lot easier if you just want to put it at the top of your Switch, put it at the top of your TV.

I feel like it creates a much more natural viewing angle.

I have to admit, I do not use screen protectors on any of my tech.

With all that said, dbrand's Prism 2.0 kit for the Nintendo Switch 2 is easily the best screen protector I have tried so far.

As somewhat of a klutz myself, I can confirm that it's actually extremely easy to use.

Now, if you want a proper console-style controller for your Switch 2, Nintendo's Pro Controller is always a good pick.

If you have a Pro Controller from the original Switch, this is the old model, that'll work just fine with your Switch 2 so you don't have to run out and buy a new one.

But if you're new to Switch or you just need an extra one, the Switch 2 Pro Controller, while expensive, is very good.

It feels just a little bit lighter and snappier than the original Pro Controller.

I love this two-tone design with the gray at the top.

And what's really cool is you have these programmable back buttons that you could set to behave like any of the other buttons.

I'll put the jump button back here so I don't have to constantly move my thumb to move and shoot.

Here we have dbrand's Kill Switch, which is essentially a case system that really transforms your Switch 2 pretty radically into something that feels even more premium.

You've got this nice kind of impact-resistant coating in the event that you drop it.

I mean, this, you know, I love the Moomba case if you want something cheaper, but this makes holding the Switch 2 feel completely different.

You've got these super ergonomic rear grips.

It almost makes the Switch 2 feel like a Steam Deck if you've ever used one of those.

And unlike a lot of those all-in-one cases that just cover your entire Switch in one piece, these let you actually remove the Joy-Cons without having to take the whole case off.

Each part of the system kind of has its own outer shell, which makes everything a lot more seamless if you need to switch from, you know, handheld to tabletop mode.

Now, the one drawback to the Kill Switch is that, by default, you can't throw it in the Switch 2 dock.

It's a little too thick once you add the case on.

There are a lot of optional add-ons, too.

These really just make playing in handheld a little more comfortable.

And what's really cool is this optional travel cover.

Suddenly, the protective case becomes a travel case.

Now, I personally wouldn't travel with the Switch this way.

I think it still leaves too much exposed, including the whole back of the system.

And I personally still use a travel case still.

The Kill Switch case in general, extremely high quality.
