Today, we're going to have a conversation in English to improve your English-speaking fluency.

We're going to do this by using the shadowing technique.

Participle clauses

Simply put, the shadowing technique involves me saying the lines first, and then you will repeat the lines afterwards.  As I say the lines, you will observe the way that I'm pronouncing each of the words in English.

First, I'll read the entire dialogue, and then afterwards, we'll role-play the dialogue.

I'll say the lines of one character, and then you will speak the lines of the other character, as if we were having a real conversation.  The theme of today's lesson will be geared around conversations that you would have at a grocery store.  Without further ado, let's begin.  Can you help me find this item?  Sure.

Let me take you to the aisle where it's located.  Where is the customer service desk?  The customer service desk is near the front of the store, usually by the entrance or exit.
