Hiya, welcome to a new episode of Easy English.

Adverbs of manner

This week we're interested to know which form of English is more commonly used today, British

So we found various objects that you can see here which have completely different vocabularies for the two forms of English and we went to Münster in Germany where British English is more commonly taught in school to see which of the two vocabularies they're more instinctively using nowadays.

Out of curiosity, do you think you speak American or British English?

The English that's taught in German class is probably more British English.

Because the media I consume is mainly American.

By the way, what do you think you're speaking?

I think I'm neither than British, than American.

I think someone once told me that I have a New Zealand accent or London accent but I'm not sure of either one so I don't know.

And if you had to pick between sneaker or trainer?

It's a sofa or a couch but I would say both.

Okay, but if you had to pick one, if your life depended on it?

And a sofa for three persons I would say.

We also have here the word couch but for me it is a sofa.

That's your first British one but most people say truck.
