  • Animators consulted with an expert on cat anatomy so they could perfectly portray Mr. Mittens.

  • And they were surprised to learn how flexible cats are in real life.

  • The filmmakers wanted to represent New York City as authentically as possible by including details such as black wads of chewing gum on the sidewalks.

  • They also included details like designing the buildings in Brooklyn to be two to three stories tall in comparison to the mile- high skyscrapers of Manhattan.

  • What are you doing? This is New York City! You don't stop in the middle of the street!

  • And in true Pixar fashion, there are many fun Easter eggs throughout the film.

  • you can spot the classic A113 on a street sign, "Toy Story"'s Pizza Planet truck, the lamp from Pixar's short film "Luxo Jr.," and the streetcar from "Coco."
