  • Tokyo local low down.

  • So I'm here to let you know about this japanese style breakfast and tea spot with the temple view.

  • This place is an awesome set japanese meal.

  • When you first arrive, you'll actually have to get a reservation ticket to wait in line and then when they finally call your number, then you're able to come and actually have breakfast.

  • So it opens at eight o'clock and closes at 10 30 but they only have 110 meals available in the morning.

  • So if they sell out then they're all sold out.

  • So for breakfast, the go to orders as japanese set meal with 18 little dishes with all you can eat porridge.

  • What I really love about this place is that each dish when you pick it up, it has the japanese and the english description of what you're eating.

  • So it's super easy to enjoy your food and know what you're eating and check out this grilled sata Imo with a miso paste on top.

  • Thank you.

  • Yes wow.

  • Instead of like a dry potato, it's more kind of like a yeah, I'm actually kind of a little bit more moist and has kind of a mushy texture to it pairs really well with me.

  • So my other favorite is a yuba and they paired it with some salmon roe.

  • Also known as he could I here in japan.

  • This is kind of like cuba if we don't know, it's like the skin of the Tokyo.

  • Like the top layer.

  • You get that loveliness right there.

  • Let's try with it.

  • You put a mm hmm.

  • What you'll find is that you have like a really, really mellow flavor with cuba.

  • So it brings out that you could, when you kind of paired it together.

  • This is a man Taiko, which is a spicy cod roe And it's also mixed with seaweed nori.

  • Now there's a spicy cod roe.

  • It has a lot of flavor.

  • Has a lot of bite to it and it's like almost so spicy that you shouldn't probably eat it by itself.

  • What's nice is that?

  • It comes with kind of like a rice part.

  • It's called Ohio basically what you do is you take the men Tyto throw it onto the rice like this.

  • Mm And it mellows out.

  • Then Tyco flavor.

  • And if you go with a partner like Michael, you can play trains is if I don't like something and she'd like something.

  • Then we can actually trade the different dishes.

  • I'll give you my sweet corn booth for you a duck as the japanese.

  • I think it's, I wouldn't say where but you actually have to go to like a kaiseki restaurant.

  • You're like hotels to get this like a little dishes like really cool breakfast.

  • So that's why I'm like so excited being here.

  • Just like looking at the homeland the right in front of you is also amazing.

  • They did a renewal a couple years ago and like it looks a little number two Tokyo to jin se casa.

  • This hidden breakfast spot is just five minutes away from Catania station.

  • This joint has locals lining up around the building for their Taiwanese style breakfast breads and freshly made trojan soy milk bowls.

  • You can either throw down on the regular soy milk like this one to go with their delicious breads or you can do what I did and go with their most popular dish, shinto john.

  • It's seasoned with vinegar hints of chili and their original seasonings.

  • And this place is a japanese shop that sells a Taiwanese food and this is like a special soy milk slashes like tofu mixture.

  • You end, it has some fried bread, wow that is a nice soup.

  • Can taste the soy milk in there and it has like a nice creamy texture.

  • It's like nice and gentle but it has kind of like a savory, salty taste to it and the fried bread goes so well with this soup but it soaks up all of that kind of soil in there and it's kind of like a gooey mushy mush.

  • Crazy.

  • Like the more I eat this, like a better get.

  • So you can definitely taste that there's vinegar in there.

  • We have the oil, it's just packed with flavor.

  • I love the onions, You can see that they have like these little pickles and it kind of just livens it up a little bit.

  • What's nice about this place is they also serve a fried bread here when we just break it up in front of you.

  • Oh that they have actually meet in this one says onion and pork meat.

  • Mhm, mhm, mm wow, that's amazing.

  • On the outer layer.

  • It's nice and kind of flaky breaks apart.

  • But the bottom, it has like a harder texture to it and it has a lot more like consistency.

  • It's like a little bread dumpling.

  • Oh and something I know where this place is that it doesn't get quite busy on the weekdays is actually okay, but on Saturdays you have to be really, really careful.

  • But the lines actually go outside of the building and I think gets sold out, they just stop selling everything.

  • So if you do come here on a saturday then come early and still be prepared to be waiting in line and number three ski G sushi say at grants a Tokyo grants is a big shopping area under Tokyo station which is filled with bento shops, food spots and souvenir sweets that many people sleep on for their morning delights.

  • But today I'm introducing to you a dope sushi shop that even has a proper counter with roots at ski G.

  • So if you're looking for a sushi spot, then look no further than Tokyo station in this spot.

  • There's actually a lot of restaurants in this location because a lot of people are traveling during this time.

  • So this sushi place has a regular lunch menu and dinner menu.

  • But in the morning they have several different morning sex and today I will have my go to the zoo garden that has some tuna sometime ago.

  • Yaki that some salmon meggie total and it has some ricotta and sea bream said it had all the major sashimi all on a rice bed.

  • But the thing is the fish is already season so you don't really need to season it.

  • But I like to add a little bit of show you in Wasabi.

  • So what I do is get some Wasabi, throw that in there, put a little soy sauce just like this.

  • Mix it around.

  • Let's just put it all in just like so yeah, maybe it got a little excited.

  • That's kind of a lot of that mom, that fish is so fresh and that's the Wasabi on there.

  • Some soy sauce.

  • Fish is just so fresh.

  • It's amazing.

  • This is a meggie toto in there.

  • Mm one More Bite.

  • Mm So mike or the sea bream dash task becomes to say some missiles Mississippi.

  • So first without Dashi you eat it with rice.

  • Yeah, I feel fresh sesame sauce is really sweet but the fish is really about light, it goes like perfectly.

  • So now there's some, yeah, to me on top, I'm gonna have Dashi over it.

  • It's like the soup is like white and mixed with sesame sauce, it's not so good.

  • Mhm mhm.

  • Okay mm you have like a big chunk of this, much of rice is just perfect.

  • Really?

  • Number four alpha beta coffee club.

  • So this video wouldn't be complete if I didn't introduce at least one coffee shop.

  • In fact there's just so many cool coffee shops in Tokyo that I couldn't cover it all in this video.

  • But if you guys want me to do a video just on coffee shops in Tokyo, let me know in the comments.

  • So this place is in Chicago called Alpha Beta Coffee Club and it was actually started by ex google employee so all the measurements ingredients and all of that is done by like perfect calculations and my formulas.

  • Even some strawberries right there.

  • Look at that lovely bite.

  • Yeah.

  • Oh that is so good.

  • Like I love how you know aside comes and it's a frozen, it almost feels like a frozen snack.

  • It's a perfect combination.

  • Like honestly this is an awesome place to have breakfast.

  • It's open early and if you want to get a little bit tipsy, they have a bunch of different craft beer as well on this assignment.

  • I'm not joking.

  • It's good.

  • Like in japan sometimes you don't expect foreign foods to import very well.

  • In fact, the side is probably one of those things you don't expect to do very well.

  • But man, they hit the bull's eye on this one, this is a real deal a sizable.

  • Number five bar marshy kodama shinkansen bullet train stop at Shinagawa station.

  • Many restaurants open early for breakfast to cater to the morning masses in the restaurant area.

  • Most shops are open from seven a.m. Like this ramen shop.

  • We don't shop and even sushi.

  • I'm going to share with you my little hidden gem that won't break the bank, but we'll keep that belly stuffed.

  • They have all you can eat prosciutto which is like a very, very japanese favorite.

  • You have sausage right here and then you have some have, we have two kinds of breads.

  • They have a percent role and then they have this like regular baguettes and you can toast that if you want.

  • And we also have salad with two types of dressing.

  • Usually it's not our largest selection in the world but it's all you can eat and it's only 620 yen.

  • Which is a freaking amazing deal.

  • Just try this ham right there.

  • Let's go ham on this.

  • Mm Has a nice kind of like savory.

  • A little bit like sweet taste to it.

  • Some sausages in here too.

  • Mm still warm.

  • All the nice juices still encapsulated in this like little wiener.

  • That's amazing.

  • Mm hmm rob prosciutto.

  • It's like a little bit thicker than normal, which is nice.

  • Like like really really meaty.

  • Mm hmm mama is kicking.

  • And one thing to note is if you really want to get your drink on before you get on the shotgun center for breakfast.

  • They serve beer wine.

  • And if you want to get like a customized latte or something like that.

  • They have that as well.

  • It's everything you would need for breakfast.

  • Even drinks and number six who chino Tamargo choco by joe right in the middle of Tokyo's business district inside of Akasaka biz tower, this hidden gem is an egg specialty restaurant called Luchino Tamargo.

  • They serve fresh quality eggs produced in Ticino Fukuoka every morning and at this spot you don't have to care what came first.

  • The chicken or egg because you can have both.

  • All right.

  • So this is my, oh yeah Cardona breakfast a special spot.

  • This spot serves it for breakfast and they have a fresh eggs every day.

  • In fact, they have the eggs just set out in front of you.

  • So you can choose the one that you want, which is pretty awesome.

  • It has some scrambled eggs that have already been pre cooked and then you can choose and egg and put it on top to have like two different kinds of egg and you have a chicken and they called Julia couldn't because Julia is a parent and coal is child like parent and child rice balls, which is pretty awesome.

  • Me being me.

  • It wouldn't be complete if I didn't throw some chili pepper on there.

  • Let me just break this egg.

  • Look at that.

  • I just broken apart.

  • Let's have this mother and child arise will say japanese.

  • It sounds like it makes sense.

  • But in english probably not the best thing to say, oh let's have a bite.

  • Oh, mm hmm.

  • The eggs are cooked perfectly and then just a raw egg on top.

  • Just adds a little extra goofiness.

  • The chicken as well as tender and moist.

  • Then you have the price, which is also cooked quite well.

  • What an unbeatable combination.

  • Hmm no longer.

  • So Mike ordered her favorite Tamargo cocky gone.

  • So I got, it's just basically rice and an egg Roddick and not all of you guys don't like rock, like it's my favorite food.

  • So just like a different types that show you the things that she likes to fill and other things.

  • Like I've had raw egg ever since I came to Japan and I've never gotten sick once because just like the care and attention to like safety is pretty strict in Japan.
