  • There we go.

  • Follow that death Suck It in.

  • Good for the lung.

  • But yeah, we're going for a little walk because technically you can reach the town via the highway.

  • Of course we're about six km away.

  • But you can also take the back way which takes you down this pebbly beach, there's like a little peninsula and then you can take the back dirt roads into town.

  • So we are headed into Halloween to have our afternoon tea.

  • Perhaps we're thinking of hitting up the bakery.

  • I mean that's the plan right now.

  • Really?

  • We need some exercise because we had a huge lunch.

  • Especially you, Another truck especially you get moving.

  • Really?

  • Yeah, who?

  • It's that the ocean, it does, what a difference from this afternoon when it's windy.

  • Oh here and the weather is potentially stormy.

  • The waves are basically you think your radio by the sea?

  • Yeah, I'm crashing in.

  • This is a massive lake.

  • Guys, if you look on google maps, just how big this lake is, its enormous, I think we're gonna sleep like babies tonight with these crashing waves would be cool if we can hear the sound from our room Yeah, mhm, mm mhm So guys, we had also thought about going kayaking because there's a rental place, like an hour's walk away and technically it can go kayaking on this lake, but now that we're here, we're seeing it up close, the size of the waves, the temperature of the water, it's a little, it's a wee bit windy at the moment.

  • Not so interesting anymore, it's like we can do something else to play that part for maybe another day.

  • Yeah, mhm, mhm Uh huh Well we finally made it to the bakery was a good walk, it was a bit of a walk to get here, we're at a bakery that's called Union and it's very well known in this town, like the walls are covered in photos of celebrities, actors, former presidents, famous Argentines.

  • Yeah, there's lots of different things to choose from if you're craving something sweet.

  • They've got like pastries and for songs and cakes.

  • Or they also having bananas sandwiches.

  • I'm having some cheese bread cheese bun house is very good.

  • And it's just a place where people come to hang out.

  • They have lots of tables where you can sit around.

  • It's like lots of families were just passing through on their bus break hopping out for like 15, 20 minutes.

  • We also have some chocolates that I mentioned.

  • They have chocolate chocolate empanadas.

  • They also have a nice selection of fact or a than alcohol.

  • So come hungry.

  • All right.

  • I'm excited to try the empanadas.

  • I got one is carney or no from the oven and the other is family castle which is ham and cheese.

  • Yeah.

  • Nice to meet one loaded with meat and it's got a kind of a buttery flaky texture to the empanada.

  • It's a buttery flaky dough.

  • Alright, let's try this other one.

  • Yeah.

  • Once loaded with ham and cheese and they're both really good and they've been warmed up so they're nice and hot.

  • Which is good because yeah, I'm hungry after that long walk.

  • Let's try the chocolate Too.

  • Little bomb bon.

  • Yeah, mint bom bom entrenchment flavor inside.

  • Mm No.

  • Who's um Yeah, the middles you catching us are your mouth.

  • Are you a hunter?

  • Are you a hunter?

  • Ooh.

  • Hello.

  • Hello.

  • We are inside our cozy little one room cabin.

  • Yes.

  • We have come back from a great first day.

  • Really?

  • What are your first impressions of the town?

  • First impression comes to mind.

  • You know what?

  • When we were telling people in yushu Wyatt that we were going to tell wayne like one person actually said to us, but why what are you planning to do there?

  • And when we explain like, oh we, we just want to relax.

  • There's this guest house by a lake.

  • We're gonna do some trekking.

  • They were like, okay, because aside from that, there's nothing to do with Halloween.

  • Yeah, that's what, that's what they told us.

  • But what we've been finding those that like kind of destination we want to end off with were kind of near the end of our trip.

  • We're tired at this point.

  • Like we've been going hard for over three months and a quiet little town by the lake is exactly what we need at this point in the journey.

  • Absolutely.

  • And we've got a beautiful lake in front of us.

  • Like it is the biggest lake on this island.

  • It's enormous.

  • It almost reminds me a bit of some of the great lakes in Canada.

  • I mean it's so big that when it's windy, the waves come crashing in like, like an ocean.

  • It's beautiful.

  • You have snow capped mountains off in the distance.

  • You have, it's a very rugged lake and it even stretches all the way to chile.

  • It's known as lake cami on the Chilean side and Fagan.

  • No, on this side.

  • Magnano Argentine side.

  • Yeah.

  • And it's just massive and it's so untapped and just pristine.

  • You look off in the distance, you don't see a boat, you don't see a single soul out there and it's just like, wow, this is like rugged, beautiful nature in its finest and it's just, it was so nice to walk along the coast.

  • Yeah, that was just really fun.

  • We saw some people fishing on the other side.

  • We saw some areas that have been impacted by the Canadian beaver.

  • Apologies for that being Canadians.

  • We didn't bring the beavers over again.

  • We didn't, someone else made that mistake.

  • They come here and turned into a bit of a pest.

  • Unfortunately you have no predators.

  • They just thrive here.

  • It's the perfect climate for them.

  • But anyways, yeah, those are our first impressions of to win.

  • We've got a couple more days here.

  • We've got Parisian asado on our mind, we've got hiking on our mind.

  • And so we'll likely do those two things for sure.

  • And we hope you'll stay tuned for those episodes.

  • Yeah.

  • See you tomorrow.

  • Take care.

  • Bye.

  • Uh huh.

  • Mhm.

this is where we are staying.
