The imperative

So think of this world that done stuff like this.

In this video, I'm going to be as honest and open as possible.

I'm a guy, and I hear guy talk all the time.

Guy talk is basically conversations about women about sex that some of them can get disrespectful and some of them can get sexist.

It happened to me in private, but one day it happened to me in public.

Some TV host in Albania invited me on his TV show for a quick interview.

And I brought my girlfriend Ellen with me.

But little did I know that throughout the whole conversation, the guy was talking to me in guy talk, and that made me feel a bit uncomfortable.

He would disrespect women and me in the process, and he would force women to ask questions on his No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.

I tried to let it go and laugh it off uncomfortably, but my girlfriend Ellen, didn't.

And to be honest, at the time, I thought that was a bit too much, but at the end of the day, she was right.

It was stupid to think of this world, but the TV show host thought this was not a big deal.

We laugh it off because it didn't harm anyone.

This is funny, but this experience has taught me that when guy talk is okay in private, slowly but surely it becomes okay in public.

One day after day, year after year, you are treated like an object.

You are treated like less when you are objectified and sexualized and even if you are not, when you see the people around you treated like that, it gets really old really fast.

At the end of the day, I laughed off his sexist remarks, hoping the interview would end fast.

But to be honest with you, laughing it off was not enough.

What I learned from this video is that I need to control my reactions when I get angry.

But what I also learned is that I'm happy that I at least try to speak up because if we're not speaking up when sexism happens to us in our daily life, it's just going to keep happening.

We need to put an end to guy talk wherever it happens in private conversations or public ones, even if they happen or national television.
