Just a bunch of law students got together and...paddle a dragon to victory I guess.
I think it's a good way to relax, I mean law school really does take a
lot of your life up and this is kind of a way to get away from
the hustle and bustle of law school.
singing Row Row Row Your Boat
Who makes up the team? Well there's the caller who is the person in the front of the boat yelling at everybody
The tiller steers the boat.
There's a flag grabber on race day who's tied onto the head
of the dragon to catch the flag, and then there's 16 paddlers
and our team is comprised of mainly law students but also
alumni and friends of law students.
Yeah it's nice we've got practices on weekends and evenings
so I'm able to do it after work or on the weekends.
It ended up being something like really a nice rite of spring
something we look forward to every year to come out and
be on the river and see the city and see some familiar faces
and some new faces every year.
The best part is the races, the races are an absolute blast.
It's just a mad rush for the finish just four boats per heat
and whoever grabs the flag first takes home victory.
Here's a secret, I'm not a pirate, but I wish I was.
