  • It's Week seven.

  • Almost the end of April.

  • Now, um, kind of crazy.

  • That was like a frequent bug in here.

  • Oh, hey, those little bugs kind of crazy that we started this whole thing in mid March.

  • Um, staying at home.

  • And now we're almost It may.

  • Honestly, I thought we'd be back to normal.

  • I know.

  • I mean, I know that's naive thinking.

  • I guess I just thought it would be that toe work.

  • Not exactly all normal that we wouldn't be traveling again, but I didn't think we would kind of get back into things by now.

  • But that's not happening.

  • Um, I actually just got an email from my work yesterday saying that our work from home has been extended till June now.

  • So we were supposed to go back May 4th, but they just told us that June will be the new date.

  • But they are saying that they're going to start looking into ways for you to come back to the office.

  • So it's not like they're gonna have everybody come back at once, but kind of do the staggered approach.

  • Kind of like what they're doing in certain states right now.

  • Like Georgia Florida, You know, opening up beaches and Florida's and talks about opening up certain things little by little, just to see how it goes past a key in Sarasota.

  • It's about ourselves from Tampa.

  • They opened up their beaches and you're going to do anything there except for something.

  • So, senator, like walking, exercising, swimming, kayaking, whatever, That's fine, but you just can't sit there and sunbathe.

  • Also, we can't gather around with 10 or more people, and you can only have the practice open distancing.

  • So as long as you're doing those things you're going to reach now, Tampa area hasn't opened up in Yemen.

  • Speeches like Clearwater Beach or State teach.

  • But who knows?

  • Maybe they'll open up in a couple weeks or so.

  • If Siesta Key goes alright in my apartment, they actually opened up the dog park, so that was nice.

  • A lot of people were happy about that.

  • Actually, don't go to the dog park here anymore, like I used Teoh when come up with a puppy.

  • I used to take her all the time, but I was an adult.

  • She's kind of bossy and just kind of works around other dogs.

  • I feel like she owns the place.

  • So it kind of embarrasses me is I don't really go there anymore.

  • Plus, when I do take her to the dog, Park doesn't do anything.

  • She just kind of mopes around.

  • Then she just lays down and does nothing.

  • So that's what does take her on a walk so she gets a little bit more exercise.

  • But on the day that she was feeling a little bit more energetic, I have heard of the obstacle course they have their which I love, that they have.

  • They have, like a little tunnel.

  • They have leave pools and then these other polls where she can grab onto.

  • So she likes doing those because, of course, we'll do anything for treats, so they should get the treats.

  • Then she'll do them.

  • But she's always thinking agility, so I like that they have that there so she could practice that a little bit.

  • I wish they did have you know her normal dog Park opened or because that's where she has are childhood friends.

  • She gets a lot more exercise there.

  • That's just looks happier playing there.

  • So hopefully, though, opened the parks backups.

  • If, like the beaches, air going open.

  • I feel like dog parks can open next because it's not like, Ah, whole bunch of people go there Before they shut it down we were all practising social distancing and keeping our distance.

  • So next month I was supposed to go to Turkey.

  • But obviously I can't go there now and I've been trying to cancel it.

  • But but having a hard time because everybody is trying to cancel their flights and my flight wasn't until end of May, so I just kind of been waiting on trying to resolve it.

  • And finally, yesterday I got an email saying that all flights, this is Turkish Airlines.

  • All of their flights have been canceled.

  • Now they give everybody options of what you can do, so you could get mileage credit you could devour.

  • Sure, you could be scheduled at no cost.

  • And then, of course, the last option is get a full refund, which I want, because I just I have no idea what I could travel again.

  • And usually, you know, I don't even know if all used Turkish airlines next time I travel.

  • So of course I want a full refund.

  • I'm sure that's what most of the people want.

  • So they have a disclaimer saying that You know, you can choose this option, but just be war and that it's gonna take a long time, The process.

  • I'm not sure how long is gonna take, but that's what I put it for because I just I don't know what I'm gonna be able to travel again, so we'll see how that goes.

  • Also, just so you know, if the flight has been cancelled, you don't have Teoh reschedule or you know, up or resort Teoh a voucher or credit.

  • You are legally entitled to a full refund.

  • So just make sure that if you want every phone you fight for it.

  • It just it'll just take a while to get the refund.

  • I was really looking forward to that trip to I was gonna go with a couple of the girls I met in Prague last summer.

  • They were awesome, a solo trip as well.

  • So the three of us kind of bonded, and one of them was in New York and the other one lives in Dubai.

  • So we were planning on meeting up again in Turkey, but it this happened and didn't work out.

  • So hopefully when things calm down and things are better, we could get together and make plans again to go to Turkey.

  • To this past week, we had trivia night with some of my old classmates from my high school in Japan.

  • So I went to high school in northern Japan in a city called me.

  • So it's a very small city.

  • It's super country there, and my graduating class had 50 people, so there wasn't people that live there, and Candy went to that school, too.

  • But she only went up to eighth grade, so shouldn't know the city or the school as much as I did.

  • You don't have.

  • She doesn't have that made memories there like I did, but the people there that went to me, So, uh, we're all kind of bonded in some way because such a small community and something wasn't while we would have some, like reunions and different cities just to get together.

  • So since almost our home right now, they decided to throw a trivia night, and it is such a great job putting this together.

  • I didn't do the first one had first one like three weeks ago, so me Candy and one of my friends, Janey.

  • We decided to join on this one, and it was like a really good time.

  • Well, that's about it on my end.

  • So let's see what Candies doing in California.

  • Hi, this is Candy over here in L.

  • A.

  • And let's see, this week it was a little bit surprising to me, but there have been some states that have decided to open up certain businesses and the ones I kept hearing over and over again.

  • It's probably because the news likes to keep repeating itself, but Atlanta was allowing businesses like bowling alleys, hair salons.

  • Those have businesses were allowed to open up again.

  • And I don't know, I'm not an expert.

  • I'm not a scientist or a doctor about a nurse.

  • I don't really, you know, not in the front line.

  • And I don't see how bad things are.

  • But, um, I really hope that, you know, even if we opened things up, that things will be fine and it won't cause any problems.

  • I know a lot of people are worried.

  • That's too soon, and I guess they won't know until we see what happens.

  • But I hope anything that happens so that I mean, no one wants anything bad to happen in Japan.

  • On the other hand, the opposite has happened, which is kind of interesting.

  • I climb into my dad this week, and he said Japan finally issued a state of emergency.

  • It's a little bit different from the state of emergency here, where daycares and schools and everything was shut down.

  • All those schools are shut down in Japan.

  • You know, my sister is only going to work and all those schools were shut down.

  • Daycares there still have been.

  • So I'm on is still having going to work.

  • So that's, um, it was a little bit different about your pan compared to here, but we had our when we had our shut down because of the state of emergency in Japan, and they're asking people to work from home.

  • Japan acts experience quite a bit of system glitches.

  • Are you having trouble with the Internet?

  • And there's a lot of problems accessing Internet, So I was like, Oh, that's that's not that's not fun anyway.

  • So that's kind of like all the news that I kind of kept up with this week and on a personal level.

  • I Everything's been the same.

  • I still take.

  • So we out on multiple walks.

  • And although there have been some things that have changed our walks, I've been noticing a lot more like science Plus in everywhere but kind of fun to look at.

  • I've been noticing more chalk art as I'm walking and this pretty elaborate chalk art that I'm saying that I'm thinking like, Are these the parents doing it?

  • Are the kids and come like the parents doing it?

  • I will say I was a little bit sad that the trill in the neighborhood that I years ago on finally there was tape around it.

  • Well, I used to come on this trails in the neighborhood to walk, so we and today is the first day that they actually roped it off.

  • So, yes, we're heading back.

  • Sorry.

  • So we I did go to the UPS store today, not today, this week, cause I had to return some things, and surprisingly, the line was really long.

  • I wasn't expecting the line to be really long at ups, and so because it was long psychologist, go next door and grab some coffee.

  • The coffee shops are still open.

  • You can't sit down and I could get take out.

  • And I was in there for about like, I don't know, 10 15 minutes.

  • And then I was like, Yeah, you know, by the time I get my coffee, the line should die down and know the line was still super long.

  • I did dio another workout session with some we this week.

  • Well, it's not work out.

  • I tried a meditation session.

  • We're going this week, and I was I didn't think so.

  • We would really participate, but she actually did.

  • She has actually started fall asleep, and I think she was really relaxed, and she really felt survives that I was relaxed to.

  • So yeah, that was That was kind of interesting and fun.

  • I've never done meditation with my dog before, so that was something new.

  • All right, well, that's everything that's happening this week.

  • Everyone stay safe out there healthy.

  • And if you like this video, please give it a thumbs up.
