  • Chris and I.

  • We are on our way to Yosemite National Park tomorrow, and this is our first time.

  • Very excited and a little.

  • It took me two weeks to chip.

  • I not really, But take me a long time to figure out what to pack because of the weather.

  • Yes, of the weather.

  • It's gonna be We're going first week of September.

  • So from September 2nd through the night and the weather is going to be 90 close to 90 degrees during the day, and then it drops down D degrees in the morning and at night.

  • So it's like you have to pack two different ways and layer.

  • And then we're also going to areas where might have water from the waterfalls that pack a raincoat because a lot involved more than any other trips, right?

  • We've ever done so even thinking about highlighting water, shoes, shoes.

  • So, yes, this is why I took a long time to figure out what to pack and had a packed properly or dressed properly for this trip with fluctuating temperatures, we're gonna show you are packing for Yosemite in September.

  • Yes.

  • I'll go ahead and go first.

  • We kind of back pretty.

  • But for me, I'm actually just taking on a carry on on.

  • This is also another way.

  • Have a lot of rough.

  • It's going on a puppy around.

  • Very cute, but she's getting antsy because we're not getting your puppies, foods or some grunting.

  • It's not a man is actually a puppy.

  • I, um, taking a carry on.

  • And that's why I also took me a little bit to figure out what I'm gonna pack in the first thing I always whenever I travel anywhere the clothes I wear not right now, but the clothes I'm traveling in and the clothes I come back and when I travel are the same they don't use it doesn't get dirty.

  • So I feel like you're just traveling anyway.

  • So why do you need to wear two different outfits?

  • So that helps save room in my luggage?

  • Another thing I dio iss.

  • I wear my coat so that doesn't take up space in my luggage.

  • So I'll be wearing wearing this soft sweater.

  • Blake's a blazer, so this is like good for the night time when we were hiking.

  • But, you know, we're eating out stuff you want, like a nice, warm sweater or something, since it will be cool.

  • So I'm gonna wear this on my flight.

  • And I also need, like, a down cooks.

  • It is gonna be cold, So I don't wanna be wearing two coats.

  • So I have is this really cool jacket in here, But it's also a neck pillow, so this play is very short, so I don't really need my other neck.

  • Oh, that I always use This is kind of like, uh I'm really not going to use it to sleep, But it's fooling the flight intentions like I'm carrying a neck pillow, but actually my down coat in here.

  • So this is what I will be wearing when I'm hiking.

  • And then, you know, once it starts getting warm else toughest in my back pocket and super lightweight.

  • Same with hat we're gonna be wearing.

  • It's good, Teoh.

  • You know where hat especially.

  • You know, I don't like wearing glasses when we're hiking.

  • It's I think it's much better to wear cat because I think the sunglasses kind of slide down face or protects you for protection.

  • And, you know, we will be in some with the area.

  • So I think, for if you're worried about, You know, bugs or ticks.

  • You know, if you have a hat on, that's a good idea, because you can spot them better if you're wearing 1/2 working here.

  • Uh, so I think about what I'm wearing on and put it down here.

  • Just like what?

  • Black leggings and teacher.

  • Yeah, it's just a shirt and black, Really Black joggers, joggers.

  • Basically, we're the same thing.

  • Just a black leg in a black T shirt.

  • Yeah, a decade.

  • And I'll be wearing that Samos candy.

  • So I packed leggings because leggings, they're lightweight.

  • They also great, like if you get them wet or you're sweating, they dry quickly.

  • And that's one thing to is we're not gonna have any washer dryers.

  • We need something that if you do get when our first wedding locks, it's supposed to be in the nineties.

  • We want something that dries fast.

  • So I you know, I have my leggings here.

  • And then, of course, I brought on bringing shirts that are also quick, dry and actually gonna bring a lot of basic colors.

  • I think a lot of black and white and this galaxy is from organic basics.

  • I never purchased from them.

  • But I found out that they this is a quick, dry type, and also it's good for odor.

  • So it's got that.

  • That apology is apology technology, which so if even if I am sweating a lot, it should be pretty good at like, um, asking about the odor and stuff so and it's could dry.

  • So I might be wearing this for two days in a row.

  • You know, if I feel like this is also for layering like a light top bombs like a coat.

  • But it's like a mesh.

  • So Thistle is one of the list I'll probably wear, like leggings, assure alike and then, like a coat.

  • So then I'm gonna be, like, taking all these off as the day goes on and then putting it back on.

  • It starts cooling down again.

  • So then I was looking at finding shoes, and we're not hikers.

  • I don't like those like, really big, bulky, like hiking shoes like high tops.

  • I'm like, Well, we're not gonna do serious.

  • I think I was thinking about bringing it, but I really need hiking shoes for this.

  • Another problem, Teoh is that they're so bulky, too.

  • A lot of room.

  • So much room.

  • So I don't really wanna bring.

  • I actually came across Adidas.

  • They actually have their own other line of, like, hiking sneakers on.

  • It's like the tour Exline.

  • I think that this is a way found that right?

  • Exactly what it is I be between a sneaker and a hard for hikers tweet.

  • So they have little bridges bottom to help you not flip and help you What?

  • These slippery hikes like Mistrust.

  • Yes, She had a different version, and I dont white one, but yeah, you can totally tell like that is gonna have a good grip.

  • A couple different things I am hacky is, uh, scarf, which really came in handy, and bam Because I you know, I could use it when?

  • Well, traveling, first of all, because I can use it as a blanket and because planes are always so cold, for whatever reason, and then, you know, in the mornings advance, I was just where this, like, this is my better.

  • Another correct way.

  • But and there's so many ways you could stop these scars too.

  • So you could you know where that scarf where you can like where As you call it with you?

  • I wear the show, but yeah, it was very, very versatile.

  • And I worked out great.

  • Didn't take up too much room.

  • You carry this with you on the plane.

  • You know, over Lake Charles should execute this.

  • Would you like that?

  • Hat, Jeans?

  • Compliments s so I like compliments to like what?

  • I should've Teoh Miss trails.

  • I got a raincoat.

  • It's very light weight hoodies, actually.

  • Get in here and this is gonna be in my backpack, bomb, hiking.

  • And once we get up there and this is really powerful as those on and, uh, yes, I got sold on Amazon, actually, like cheeks like three.

  • But I got this.

  • It's called the sender jacket, but it made for I take this with us everywhere.

  • And this is our favorite but one accessory because we never mice taking photos and shooting videos.

  • So that's just wrapped around us at all times.

  • And, you know, it won't accidentally dropped it over taking photos, and it also carries your cards in the back.

  • They have a lot of different styles on.

  • It's not just for iPhones and making for Samsung to be used to only sell many cases for iPhones, But now they sell for other phone brands.

  • Teoh.

  • And you can change that.

  • If you don't like this strap, you couldn't go on on their site.

  • And by difference drops, they could have, like, one case, but then might just change out the straps for, like, you know, different wanted coloring.

  • Change it up.

  • So we really, really like bandolier.

  • We don't know if used, particularly with us everywhere for the past three years.

  • Yeah, it's definitely essential for us now.

  • Hopefully we packs properly and we dont forget being, but we will actually check back in and let you know if everything worked out And if there was something that way, we wish we'd have brought so or everything was perfect way of our trip, and we thought it a good idea to kind of let you know.

  • Well, while we're on this trip like, oh, now we should have brought that are now.

  • You really didn't bring that we didn't need another strip were copper jackets.

  • We didn't even wear this once.

  • Not once.

  • Yeah, I mean, it was a lot warmer than we thought, because when we look at the average temperature for your 70 during the first week of September.

  • You know, we checked the weather forecast.

  • They would say 50 was the loss of a go.

  • That's pretty cool for us.

  • The coldest it got was 60 degrees.

  • So we were a light jacket like this, and I were like this card again.

  • This was like, the most that way we need it, and only for a couple of hours in the morning.

  • And then at night we would wear Teoh, I would say, usually around eight o'clock a PM we were starting in her life jackets.

  • But that was it.

  • That was the coldest.

  • It got another thing that I brought that I was like, I didn't really bring this was because I read a lot of other posts where we didn't this trail and a lot of the waterfalls Miss really gets you wet, so we're like, I don't get clothes wet, but I guess this time of year by now the water is kind of dried up.

  • The miss it really isn't that strong.

  • Wore this once just to where it was kind of chill in the morning when I didn't have this, But that was like I really did not need this.

  • All right.

  • So getting to things we wish we would have brought your, uh, number one.

  • Yes, because we did this high attacked point, which you should definitely do If you go to your seven e one hiking and there's so many pretty colors.

  • It's just indescribable how beautiful and surreal it was there.

  • So they want to definitely go there for sunset.

  • And what comes after something is darkness.

  • Yes, the height Back through the woods in the darkness.

  • Four of a mile over a mile.

  • And thank goodness we have flashlights on her iPhone because that's what we were all using.

  • If you don't have that, there is no way we made it back.

  • It's so yes, we have the, you know, the flashlight on our phones.

  • But also, we found that our I phones were going out of battery superfast.

  • So conserve your phone battery if you can.

  • If you're gonna use your phone light because it did work out for us.

  • Kind of the pain to stop the hold.

  • Your e just can't do it.

  • Yeah, So, having a head like we actually have, we've used it, but were banned National Far.

  • Nothing I wished I would have brought more was lucky.

  • Me too.

  • I know a lot of times when I packed things pants I wear, like, two or three days.

  • Um, but because a lot of the heights of very dusty are leggings would get so, so brown dirty, very dirty.

  • Yeah.

  • This is the first national park I've been to Where I've got so dusty, our shoes were covered in dust, and they're not, like rugged hikes or anything that they're dirt is really crying.

  • Yeah, money.

  • Anything like that is just Yeah, the six on clothes and shoes.

  • Spying dirt, Sandy.

  • Like it's Yeah.

  • Another thing we wish we would have brought.

  • Especially when we're hiking with this trail.

  • Yeah.

  • Various strenuous hike.

  • And I was watching other hikers.

  • They all had holes so useful because we did try to pick up like sticks from nature.

  • Yeah, and they work to some extent, but they're kind of rough on your hands and your heavy hiking sticks.

  • You connection?

  • Just it.

  • The collapsible.

  • Yeah, they're collapsible.

  • And I definitely would have would have utilized it.

  • Yeah, a lot of hikers that, speaking of that trail, I guess what thing would probably be hiking boots?

  • Because you need to support your ankles open to me.

  • We got a great sneakers that had traction on other Adidas truckers, the Terex and they worked for all over other heights just fine, just right there.

  • They're great for everything else.

  • But that hike specifically, it was rubbing against my ankle here, so I was trying to get blisters and it wasn't really supporting my ankle.

  • And it really would have helped.

  • Because towards the end, when you get towards Vernal Falls, you're going over these really Ah, high steps.

  • And it would have been helpful.

  • The high hiking boots to support angles there.

  • That's pretty much it.

  • I think so.

  • I think, relatively, we did a great job.

  • Yeah, there's a few things that we could have done without.

  • So if you like this video, please give us a and don't forget to subscribe to our channel.

  • Yeah.
