  • So here's my suggested answer.

  • I understand that with the position of general manager, there comes a huge amount of responsibility.

  • Not only are you responsible for the day to day running of your business, but you also have to manage all starve to ensure they function at the best of their abilities.

  • And, sure, all customers are looked after with the highest standards of customer service and care.

  • Be accountable when things go wrong.

  • We'll also look for ways to grow and improve the business when the opportunity arises.

  • Now, having read the job advert on the person specification in detail, I believe the experience, the skills and the qualities I possess, or a great match for the role I want to become your general manager because I want to be the person who is held accountable for the success of your operations.

  • And I feel I would thrive in the role if I'm given the opportunity to prove to you my work.

  • Now that's a solid, strong, positive answer that will score highly during that First General Manager interview.

  • Question.

  • Question Number two of your General Manager interview.

  • What has attracted you to our company?

  • So you're gonna have to do some research based around the organization that you are being interviewed for.

  • However, this is the answer.

  • I recommend you provide job satisfaction.

  • Career stability.

  • On the opportunity to grow and develop in the role are three things that are really important to me.

  • I chose your company to apply to become a general manager because from what I have seen and heard during my research, you are for all of the things that are important to me personally and professionally.

  • I will have job satisfaction because you are an organization who sets high standards and you also expect it from your staff.

  • I actually preferred to work in that type of environment.

  • I will have career stability because you are a company who was being around for many years.

  • And if I perform well in the role, I will hopefully be able to stay with you for many years to come.

  • I would love to be your general manager, and I would work very hard to accomplish the requirements off the position.

  • That's another solid answers, concise.

  • It's clear it's logical and you are giving them specific reasons as to why you have chosen their company to be general manager.

  • Let's have a look at another question.

  • This is a tougher one.

  • We've had many people applied to become our general manager.

  • What makes you different and what is your US piece of the U.

  • S.

  • P is the unique selling point, and I've sinned, this question asked many times during general manager interviews.

  • So I'll just repeat the question with that many people applied to become our general manager.

  • What makes you different?

  • What is your USP, your unique selling point?

  • So here's my suggested answer.

  • I believe there are three things that make me stand out from the other candidates.

  • The first thing is that I'm very passionate about my work on the responsibilities that come with it.

  • For some people, work is just a reason to pay the bills, whereas I'm someone who gets a huge amount of enjoyment from managing people and also helping a company to move forward.

  • The second thing is, I already have the skills and qualities to perform this role to a high standard, which means if you hire me, I will be able to make a positive impact quickly.

  • The third reason is not only can I provide exceptional levels of service, but I would always ensure the star of whom I am responsible for will do the same to, After all, without the customer, there would be no business.

  • So it would be important that we all provided great levels off service.

  • Finally, in regards to my unique selling points, I feel it would have to be staff engagement and my ability to really engage the team.

  • I am managing towards achieving success for your company.

  • So again, that's a really good answer that goes into detail because what you need to do with that response is make sure you stand out and you thought about this and you got three specific things that make you stand out, not just one, three things, and then you go on and speak about U.

  • S.
