  • So in this video, I'm gonna recap my top 10 street food spots in all of Tokyo.

  • So over the past year, I've been to so many different street food spots, and a lot of you guys asked me where my favorite foods.

  • Basically, I wanted to take the time in this video too kind of review All the places I've been and make a top 10 list of all of my favorites food spots for this video like there's no particular order, but it's basically like if you had to have put upon where would you go if you had to had shaved ice, where would you go?

  • Oh, before I begin to check out my Tokyo merch.

  • Also, if you want to see what I'm doing throughout the week or what I'm doing these videos definitely check out my INSTAGRAM account.

  • All right, so let's begin.

  • The very first pledges actually would like one.

  • My favorites can actually be Number one is the very total don't have could begin its excuse me, mark it as a good buttery of sashi me.

  • To know that I've ever had in front of the store is almost like a performance aspect to the shop as well.

  • They cut up the fish right in front of you.

  • You can see him like freshly cutting up tuna.

  • There's like a variety of different bentos that you can get.

  • I chose the most expensive one because I had to, like, show you guys in video, but definitely worth trying like, at least in my opinion, you only live once.

  • Yeah, I don't want to say that.

  • Another place I wanted to mention is this.

  • Food is from a store called me Bien.

  • Have this Wadi be Machi, and it's probably one of the best Moti's I've ever had.

  • Like what you'd be Machi.

  • It's as like this brown chemical powder on it, and that actually has a lot of water in it.

  • So it's kind of like a mix between Machi and like, a jelly consistency.

  • And so that's why you get it just almost like dripping when you pick it up.

  • Oh, and one thing that's interesting about this spot is a lot of people go to Naka Meguro and walk along the river, and it's kind of like a date place.

  • But this spot was kind of like hidden in the residential area kind of hidden and as actually one of my favorite wanted me more cheese I've had in all of Tokyo.

  • So definitely feel looking for a legacy, then definitely hit up this spot.

  • Third place.

  • We're gonna talk about curry pawn place.

  • It was kind of difficult because there's so many different good curry pot in places like there's one in the Bush, a Ginza that I really like.

  • But like this place, one out's just slightly the curry pond place in Shimo.

  • Kitazawa is kind of my my go to if I had to go to like a curry Palm Place.

  • It's called 10 Maya, and what I like about this place is that creep on itself.

  • It's crunchy, like it served warm.

  • It had like a nice egg in it into a kind of like unique to all the other peri plans.

  • We had a little bit oily, but that's like kind of what I like.

  • What's nice about the shop itself.

  • You can actually go inside and have curry in that shop, and it's like in the middle of the market is also it's not that hard to find.

  • So if you're looking for a good curry bomb place, Then check out my So the next place people ask me like where?

  • My favorite cripes spot is kind of like a very Japanese thing that they've taken French crepe and they pan ified it and made it like their own like there's just so many Christ spots in Tokyo and I just couldn't choose on which one I like the best.

  • So I come out, go to the place that I like the most is in Qi Zhou Qi.

  • It's called Circus.

  • It's like this shack looking place that doesn't look like it should be serving crepes.

  • It's like next.

  • A pachinko shop that was under construction is what I loved about.

  • It is it's such a volume is there's just so much volume to that crepe, and it was just a simple yet delicious.

  • I even put ice cream in there and it was literally a full meal.

  • But they've been likened Visit like such a long time, and you can tell like the way that they've made the crepes like that's like their family recipe.

  • So definitely if you're looking for a really nice, delicious and like, you say, satisfying trait, that's the spot and you can tell because it's always a line for that crap spot on the other end of scale.

  • If you're looking for, like, more of an like an elegant colic, a classy crepe, then definitely need to goto.

  • How did you do?

  • There's a place called Concrete, and it was one of my first street food videos.

  • I did.

  • Basically, it's Ah, cream Berlet.

  • It's funny because I said like, Oh, it's like flame roll and a lot of people killed me on the comments.

  • This is a crepe, but is like a flame broiled crank, to be honest, as it didn't know, Bru ley like a man you guys were like, Yes, so mean to me.

  • Some of the comments there was nice because it had this flame broiled aspect to it.

  • Like the top.

  • It was nothing likely other crepes I've had before.

  • It was just a very elegant and well done.

  • Craig, I thought, and also is quite heavy, is like they didn't skimp on the ingredients, which is nice for me.

  • Value is always important, so if you get like a little piece of Togashi or something and it costs like 2000 yen second that's great but cost 2000.

  • I think that both places you get your money's worth definitely recommend bald spot.

  • Now I want to go to one of my favorite, Yaki said on both places.

  • First of all, all the Chinese people, sorry, they pronounce it differently in Japan.

  • I know you guys have your way of calling it in Chinese, but in Japan we just call it yet and I've been to several different places.

  • But out of all the places in my favorite is to go, she Ginza Tokyo's Ginza is a street that's like it's four kilometers long and it has a bunch of street food on there.

  • But one of like the highlights of that place is this Jackie strong power that actually frying it in front of the restaurant, and you can see there's a people will like, buy it right in front of the restaurant and just like, get it on the side.

  • It's so good you get it still fresh, and when you bite into it, you get all of the meat juices and all oil.

  • Everything that's been cooked in this like nice, succulent pocket of goodness and was like really differentiated this junkie strung out from all the other places we've been to is that the bottom is really thick, deep fried.

  • You, like, you feel like you're biting into something meaningful.

  • I really like the crunchy aspect of the keystone around this place.

  • So again, another spot.

  • You guys got a hit.

  • Now for those of you guys that are searching for something, putting Michael's clapping in the background because she loves this place.

  • Tolentino Tamargo is spot.

  • It's in Shimo Kitazawa, So basically it comes in like a plastic egg show.

  • I think what separates a heart from everything is just the taste in general.

  • You think since it's Ah getting all the eggs locally from like a specific farm, you think that you get like a really eggy taste, but in fact, more like it's creamy and pick.

  • It's almost not solid, but it's deceptive.

  • Some density to it, definitely.

  • You know, I think putting is another thing that's very Japan ified again.

  • This is my spot.

  • If you're looking for some pudding.

  • All right, so so another thing that is very, very Japanese.

  • His motive and my favorite motive places is a shop called Kitana, and it's in a sketchy market.

  • What's cool?

  • It's like it's just like this little shop.

  • It's not even a hole in the wall if it can only like, maybe fit, like a couple of people in natural shop itself.

  • But they have this huge vat of Mozart and they cook it right in front of you.

  • And I think they've been my cooking it for years and years and years, just like replenish it.

  • And the taste is that keeps on building on this flavors.

  • It has the flavors in itself.

  • It's It's a little bit like a salty and one night, but quite savory.

  • But it's just a unique taste and very Japan.

  • I think it's one of those places that he just have to try.

  • If you come to Japan, you can do that.

  • Then they also have a nice and you don't, which is broiled beef over Rice way better than Yoshinoya.

  • In my humble opinion, it's also like, definitely worth trying again.

  • We've done like shaved ice in so many different street with videos, which is my favorite.

  • In fact, this one comes from not a street food video.

  • I actually just did it in my top 10 guide.

  • But this place is worth noting because it has the best shaved ice in Tokyo.

  • The shaved ice spots called yellow just the extra itself of the shaved ice as well as the ingredients kind of set it apart from all the other shops.

  • I went crazy and had this mango with Oreo cookie mix.

  • Those still amazing, definitely.

  • They have all these different flavors and like the volume itself is pretty hardy.

  • But this place has a line for days in the summer.

  • So that's like, just be careful if you go into this place.

  • All right, So the next one is another well gushy where you guys, I'm trying to, like, kind of do savory foods have sweet foods in this video so that you guys can kind of like to cover everything.

  • But the next place is in Ginza.

  • This place has this ammo Kusa machi.

  • This one's from a shop called Jeremiah and it's in judo.

  • Ginza, Basically what it is is as Machi and then on top of it, it has strawberry inside of it has uncle, which is like a red bean.

  • What sets apart?

  • This one has one.

  • Strawberry was so fresh is that one of the biggest strawberries I've ever had?

  • Just You bid into it and it is like the juice is just like burst in your mouth.

  • Tastes all like the sweet, tangy kick to it mixed with a machi which is, like this chewy texture, then get, like a hint of the red bean paste And like the whole combination and just how well it went together in this particular shop pose is unbeatable.

  • And I think a lot of it is because of the strawberries that youse were so fresh and just so flavorful that it just it was a game changer.

  • And last but not least, you guys always ask me.

  • We're like my favorite fried chicken spot is, And in fact, I do have a lot of favorite fried chicken spots and even the company has a pretty good fried chicken, to be honest of you.

  • But I've noted this in my 101 things to do in Tokyo video that my favorite is the karate gay, at least called Cutie in Asakusa.

  • What said it's apart from itself?

  • Is that just like a regular shop?

  • But fried chicken itself has this like amazing golden brown, crunchy skin.

  • You bite through that initial layer, you get this moist, succulent piece of meat the meat juices just fly out.

  • Oh, man, I want to go back there right now.

  • And how that find chicken?

  • Well, I really, really like puts it over the top is they have a spicy version of it and, like all the other places, don't have it.

  • I love spicy food as you guys have seen other videos I love like spicy food.

  • So when I'm looking for fried chicken and I get brilliantly cooked fried chicken, plus like the spiciness, it's game over.

  • Got my take my money.

  • So that was like a recap uh, this, like last year and all the top and food spots.
