He reminded them of their duty to consult with one another and to deliberate with a view to reaching an agreement, adding they should not hesitate to change an opinion when convinced that it is erroneous. I think so. There is a clear distinction between courteous and friendly demeanor. Being polite simply means saying hi, thank you, and greeting people, and being friendly is a little bit more than that. You have to show that you are interested in person and pay attention and spend time with a person, even if you don't really have much time.
