Hi, fellow VoiceTubers! I hope all’s well.

Today we’re taking a look at interview questions! Most of us probably have gone through interviews or are on our way to do so. And the general consensus when it comes to succeeding at interviews is that you have to prep (prepare).

This is why we’re gearing up and getting into our video that talks about the top 10 most common interview questions you can get started with! There’s one question that asks about why you left your previous job, and our sentence of the day looks at how to counter that:

Featured Sentence

Now if you left voluntarily, then reference a specific characteristic that the company you're interviewing for has that you're attracted to. Obviously, one that your previous employer didn't have.

Ok, now let’s introduce the pronunciation tips!

Specific /spəˈsɪf.ɪk/
Break it down into three syllables. “Spuh”, “si”, “fick”

Next word,
Attract /əˈtrækt/
Two syllables. “Uh”, “trakt”.

And then we have,
obviously/ˈɑːb.vi.əs.li/
Four syllables. “Aab”, “vee”, “uh”, “slee”

Moving on to Vocabulary!

First, we have,
Voluntarily /ˈvɑː.lən.ter.əl.i/
Defintion:
done, made, or given willingly, without being forced or paid to do it

Example:
Keep in mind that people are helping out voluntarily so we need to give them as much credit whenever possible.

Next up,
Reference /ˈref.ɚ.əns/
Definition
a mention of something

Example:
In your essay, remember to quote your references properly to avoid plagiarism.

And finally,
Characteristic /ˌker.ək.təˈrɪs.tɪk/
Defintion
a typical or noticeable quality of someone or something

Example:
A characteristic that job recruiters look for in a candidate is determination.

That’s all we have for today! For more information on how to handle interview questions, go ahead and check out our video pick for the day! After that, you’ll be ready to slay your next interview! Best of luck! In the meantime, don’t forget to leave your recordings and comment below about how you feel about interview questions and your interview experiences! Signing out and I’ll be hearing from you guys again on my next episode of Pronunciation Challenge!
