  • greetings from the guy behind the camera.

  • This is quickly put together L g r update for the PC game collection.

  • Because I've been redoing this room and people have been asking, Hey, why not do a collection update?

  • Because it's been a couple of years and, well, yes, it has.

  • There's about 1600 big box PC games in this one room.

  • It's not my tire collection.

  • There are still some in my home office like collector's editions and some interesting variants and personal favorites that I just have out.

  • But yeah, this is the main portion of the collection Thio 2005.

  • For the most part, this room is just full of games that are not the smaller DVD style boxes that we got like in the mid to thousands and onwards.

  • All right, let me stop spinning you around, making you dizzy.

  • Let's go over these shelves one by one.

  • So first up here, we're gonna be looking at the humongous games on this top shelf, got their adventures, and there are some of their sports ones and the sort of leads straight into entertainment.

  • And yeah, this may look a little scatterbrained, but I assure you.

  • There is some method to the madness, a group things together by not only genre like this whole shelf is entertainment, but as you can see also by, you know, alphabetical in some ways, or by really state or by publisher or by Siri's or collection, you know, just kind of like whatever it makes sense in my mind is the thing, because it is my collection.

  • I don't adhere to any specific way of sorting these, except that Haiti's these group together.

  • In my mind, it's It's almost sort of inspired, I guess, by game stores in the bookstores, libraries, whatever makes sense to me.

  • So, like, for instance, there's that Sim City Teacher's edition down there because these are all entertainment games.

  • Yet I have, you know, way more Maxie's game's over here, but anyway, we'll get to that a little bit more entertainment leading straight into the Barbie collection, which you you gotta have one of those in every good PC game collection, along with Cosmopolitan virtual Makeover.

  • And yeah, that pretty much is it for the boxed entertainment area.

  • I got a couple of wooden boxes here.

  • Those are super cool Oregon Trail Collector's editions sort of weird kids games.

  • There's so many interesting things to cover and that sort of sub genre that a lot of people ignore.

  • And I think you're fascinating, especially when they come with peripherals.

  • Maybe not as fascinating as some are sports games here, which were getting into which I actually have quite a find in this four Not necessarily modern ones, but classic sports games.

  • There's just a lot of fun.

  • I love classic golf games, for instance, the links games and, yeah, golf.

  • It's fun in computer form.

  • I've never actually been golfing, but I like the computer game aspect of it.

  • And then there's something here that aren't exactly real sports like Rocket Jackie there speedball.

  • But they're, you know, computer EA sports things, even if they're more fantasy.

  • And as sports ends and we've got my small collection there of Muse software games and some early IBM games as well as record sleeve style folio boxes, which I've done a video one before, have also done a video on the is a selection of my funky style boxes.

  • They just come in weird shapes or their intends, or they're just, you know, bizarre like shapes man.

  • That's what happens with old computer games.

  • Do whatever they can to stand out.

  • And retailers hated them because they did never, never really fit on a shelf, which is, Ah, problem.

  • I have to.

  • They were getting into my main Max's collection.

  • And yes, this is my main one.

  • I have.

  • Oh, I don't know, maybe 100 other maxes games on different like formats and different releases.

  • A CZ you can probably see behind.

  • A lot of these on these shelves are more game back, back in the back there.

  • They're different releases alternate platforms like I don't need the Windows and Mac when beside each other, for instance, or the Japanese in American release or whatever, What was the big box seems games here, including some pretty unusual ones that were only sold here in the U.

  • S.

  • It like Sam's Club and, uh, yeah, Mech games.

  • Some my favorites.

  • I seriously love these games, and it's weird cause I haven't covered them, but, uh, I like them too much.

  • I'll get to it eventually.

  • And yeah, we have a selection here of more oddly shaped boxes.

  • They're all from Ida's, though, and they're really cool always like.

  • The sort of trap is a little style things We're here.

  • We've got some puzzle games and various puzzle e type things.

  • I mean, yeah, maybe I could separate these and, uh, somewhere else, but and I don't really know where they're supposed to go.

  • So I put them all right here getting into the platform er's here mostly side scrolling platform er's I stick like three D platforms for the most part somewhere else.

  • But then again, I've got, like, earthworm Jim three D right there because I have Earthworm Jim to go next to it.

  • So dizzy games, which I think these are all new to the collection.

  • Since the last time I did a video, a few people have sent me those from the UK, which is fantastic and yeah, bye, formers.

  • Lots of them get a lot of questions about this one.

  • A lot.

  • This is just a sonic and knuckles with a Garfield caught in the act Garfield in TV land, depending on which title you look at and then the end of the platform er's here.

  • That wisdomtree thing is one of the newest that I have.

  • It's their kick started kind of collection of PC platform Er's if they put out back in the day and other stuff TV show inspired games here.

  • Trivia games, game show games and fighting games.

  • Yes, something I wish I had more of for the PC.

  • But I don't This is what I got for what is.

  • Ah, a lot of people's favorite section when they look at this collection is the first person shooters and various first person he kind of games.

  • Lots of fantastic stuff in here, some of my all time favorites.

  • Just the best games ever made, in some cases doomed, doomed to blood.

  • But you're not going to see like things like Duke Nukem.

  • Three.

  • Deer shot a warrior because those are in a separate section, which will see momentarily.

  • But yeah, lots first personal things.

  • I love these games.

  • Forget half life, half life to Lego Island.

  • Even it's a charming little game.

  • You have expanded this section of fair amount, says the last time I did on update video.

  • I think this is actually the largest that the largest, newest big box PC game in this collection strafe, which I'm not a huge fan of the game itself.

  • But, uh, it came in such a cool, big box that I'm like, yeah, system shocks, trespasser Trying to 0.0, tribes to rock.

  • Oh, yeah, And that pretty much finishes at the first person shooter section.

  • The speakers are just kind of here is a placeholder because this is a blank space and the games were falling over.

  • I've been trying to leave more blank spots on the shelves because I'm always adding to it and, you know, like a library.

  • There's blank areas in between collections of books, so you don't want to just fill it up completely.

  • Or at least I don't because I'm always adding to it and taking things away and reorganizing.

  • So, uh, yeah, these air, the adventure games we've been looking at here as well as like F N V games, text adventures, other graphical, you know, anomalies, first person weirdness, missed clones, all sorts of things.

  • Some really good stuff in here.

  • But it's almost too big.

  • I kinda want to split this up, maybe into I don't know some other way and has resulted in a couple of shelves here that are rather full of a bunch of different things.

  • But it works for now.

  • So whatever, man, A lot of these are actually donations from you guys.

  • I mean, a ton of the games in this collection or donations.

  • So thank you very much for sending them my way.

  • It's been awesome.

  • I still like to buy things, of course.

  • And you know, eBay and drifting trades.

  • What not, But it's fantastic to just get them in the mail from super generous people, too, because it's just like, whoa, you know, some people have access to games that I would never ever find.

  • Um, like I was hamster Dube up there, for instance, sent to me from the Netherlands.

  • Yeah, here we have some shooters, top down sides, growing space, computers, all sorts of things where you shoot things and things and sort of related, but not really, is worms.

  • I don't really have anywhere else to put that.

  • So there is the worms collection.

  • Ah, here we go.

  • Sierra Online games.

  • These are near the graphic adventure games, but you know, they're more Sierra Games as opposed to like anything else.

  • So they all go together in my mind.

  • King's quest.

  • Some of the Space Quest Gabriel Night games of course, the leisure suit Larry games some quite for Quest for Glory's Lara Bo Manhunter.

  • Really?

  • Beamish Police Quest.

  • I do have some of the later ones, too, Like Swat four, for instance.

  • That's in a smaller box.

  • The are This is all big boxes in this room.

  • No small boxes allowed.

  • So if it's like DVD case sized or even the double thickness DVD cases or the smaller cardboard boxes from like 2004 onward, they're not in here.

  • They're somewhere else, and I don't have that My shelves right now.

  • I just like big boxes.

  • Man cannot lie.

  • That's pretty much the end of the Sierra Games.

  • They're handing out with Lords of the Realm one and two, an incredible machine and getting over to like arcade games, arcade conversions and ports and updates to classic arcade games.

  • And, uh, what kind of stuff like that Panzer Dragoon is in there.

  • One of my favorite parts of my collection.

  • LucasArts.

  • They're graphic adventure collection is something that I have only recently pretty much completed.

  • I think the only one I'm missing now is a curse of Monkey Island.

  • But yeah, finally got Labyrinth Original maniac mansions Acma crackin.

  • Those were tough defying demand for whatever reason.

  • Third, Monkey Island is just proving elusive, but I'll get it eventually.

  • And that leads over into some of the LucasArts Star Wars games.

  • Because that's a big part of Lucas Arts.

  • And, of course, bullfrog Bullfrog.

  • What a wonderful company and lie ahead to when they made some cool things.

  • So that's just sort of stuck in there, because why not?

  • It's all mine.

  • You and we got lemmings and other signals, this stuff right here as well as the beginnings of, um, you know, tycoon games and sort of business simulations and kingdom simulations And, uh, yeah, simulations.

  • I don't know, man.

  • Another sort of personal favorite here.

  • Our flight Sims loved these growing up.

  • There were some of my favorite games, and, um, yeah, I've just collected a bunch of them because they're frigging great.

  • Lots of MicroProse games on spectrum Holla Bite Falcon Collection, which was bought out by MicroProse later on, and some other various interesting things in here.

  • Jane's games were a big part of growing up for me.

  • Anyway, this is my first l A.

  • Checks attacks, chopper attacks, attack chopper, Fantastic game turn that fan off for a second.

  • Um, but yeah, flight games got some Sierra one's, too.

  • So, like I said, I don't know if I said it or not.

  • But yes, they are games or just scattered around a little bit everywhere.

  • How Red Baron, of course, God had those and the Microsoft flight simulators keeps on going quite a few of those lonely Train Simulator.

  • And there, too, and moving on to, um, some like other stuff that submarine games a lot of sub games on the PC.

  • So I have stumbled into a few of them over the years and a few tank games as well.

  • Never really played those that much, but yeah, no, I get to him someday.

  • Racing games room Super find of these absolute favorites of mine, probably growing up stars like genre.

  • I don't know.

  • I just played so many racing games because they're awesome.

  • I mean, I liked cars, but it didn't matter if it wasn't cars, you know, it could be whatever you know, what I would race.

  • It was like racing things.

  • So I got a bunch of these always was particularly fond of the madness.

  • Siri's of games from Microsoft and the NASCAR ones, too.

  • I'm gonna have a need for speed games.

  • Of course.

  • Those air, you know, just fantastic.

  • Thier earlier ones.
